Follow-Up on Dimarzio HS-4 & Squier Body

I think they did it for the detail you get from picking with single coils... that said, I get great tones from the chopper in the neck position and I am a fan of H-S strat style guitars. I also tend to prefer the bass tone of something like a JCM800 or plexi type amp plus an OD for rythms, then I kick in another OD for leads. The trick for me is keeping the gain low on the stacked OD's. I prefer it to a gained out amp with 5 preamp tubes..

Yeah +1 on neck pickup, I was talking true single coil (not hum-cancelling or stacked)

Best read I had yet on overdrives is on analogman's website, even though it looks like it was designed in 1998 and info is all over the place, once you find your way it's pretty interesting
