Footswitch Issue Smallbox

Hey guys! I bought a smallbox 50 last August and it has been awesome. The footswitch worked fine for about a month, and then it started having problems in fall of last year. At the time, when the footswitch was plugged in it would barely pass signal, and would only increase that weak, distorted signal when footswitching to channel 2. However, it would work fine when nothing was plugged into the footswitch jack, and switch as normal using the toggle on the front panel. I tried different cables and nothing would work. I contacted Dave about it, and he was awesome. He sent me a new footswitch and cable. The footswitch was fine for several months, but now the exact same problem has developed. Am I just an idiot and overlooking something? Any one experience something similar and could help shed light on how to fix it? I'd rather not have to ship the amp to Dave just for the footswitch when the amp sounds excellent and functions perfectly otherwise. Thanks in advance for the insight / help.

I had the same thing. Dave sent a new FS. Worked fine for months. A couple of times since then it's acted up. I just unplugged the stitch turned the amp off and it worked again. Not a re solution but it works enough for me to forget about it LoL.
 
Interesting. See if you can do this. Open the foot switch and disconnect 1 leg of the led cut it or unsolder it if you can do this kind of stuff. Then see if it works. Let me know. Pm me
