Love Harem Scarem!!!!
Got to see them live a few times back when that CD was released...it was incredible.

Great job, I used to know that tune many years ago, I think I need to dig back into the memory banks...whcih really means I need to learn it all over again..lol.

I've been using the same RW IR's, don't you just love the results!!!! Again great job on the tune and the tone!! BRAVO!

Thanks so much for the kind words guys!! :)

I agree, Pete Lesperance is one hell of a player and extremely underrated. This is one of my fav tunes, and i had wanted to do a recording of it for a while!

That was amazing Dan! Love that tune! Great playing and feel. Care to share the backing track? I am working on recording a You Tube vid of my Cali playing See Saw. I am a huge HS fan and love Pete's playing. My personal favorite is Weight of the World.

Great clip!

Dan, how cranked up was the amp?

Cheers,
Mike

Hey Mike!

The Master Volume on the amp was cooking!! I had the Master somewhere around 2 or 3 o clock. But to be honest, it would have sounded great with the Master turned down lower. I only cranked it just because i could :D haha!

It's useful running the amp silently with a loadbox for recording, as you can run the amp as loud as you want and control the levels with your interface/mic pre.

Hey Mark!

Thanks for the kind words

It was your recent videoclip using the OD-100SE+ and IR's which inspired me to check them out and give them a try myself.

Man they are great sounding and it makes recording so much easier for me. I have ZERO experience in recording and mic'ing up cabinets, and i also am very limited with recording gear. So whenever i attempted to record with a mic, i usually ended up with a bad tone that sounded nothing like the amp in the room :D

The Redwirez IR's are super easy to use, so i can just plug in and make clips instead of spending all my time setting up recording gear!

Thanks Chad!!!

I look forward to your SeeSaw clip, i love that tune and i bet it would sound killer being played on the Cali :)

PM me your email address and i'll send you the backing track

Sounds fantastic Dan, tell me more about the Redwirez stuff, is it just a dummy load or what (never heard of them)
Your playing was awesome

Hey guys!

I made a quick recording a couple of nights ago, using a Cali Mod JCM800 (100watt) which i recently finished up modding.

The tune is a cover of the song 'Mandy' by Harem Scarem. Love this song so i had to cover it!

I actually used Redwirez cabinet impulses for this, rather than using a real cab. So what you're hearing is the Cali Mod, with a dummy load hooked up to the speaker jack. Then a Lineout from the amp, going into my Digidesign Mbox and then to my Macbook.

The 2 impulses i used were both identical - Bogner Ubercab w/ V30's and then mic'd up with Royer 121 Ribbon mics. Then i simply added some extra reverb and delay on the guitar track.

Thanks for listening!!
Sounds great! What are you using as the load?

Thanks for all the comments guys!!! I appreciate it!

Expect more clips soon, any requests? :D
