Looks like Mike is back at it and it appears he's taken a few features from NATAS / Satan that are designed to countour the "tightness" of the amps and incorporated them into a freak'n pedal?!

Check it out!

Sounds awesome indeed, really like the sound it gets with the blackface Recto

I know it's offcourse developed to go with the distortion channel on the amp, but I wonder how it will affect the clean channel. I wonder if I can leave it on running all the time when I switch channels. It's not an overdrive pedal, so for my signalchain this pedal would be one pedal less to tap when switching channels.

WANT! This is AMAZING sounding and I love the simple one knob operation!

Wow, that is killer. I hate Rectos and now I want one.

Seems like this could be a pretty cool alternative to a traditional overdrive as a boost.

I love how not a single word got out about this (that I'm aware of) until it was damn well ready for order and shipment. And of course, KillerTone and Fluff's videos / demos are stellar as always.

Gawd, I just love the way the guitars just SLICES through the mix in every demonstration. It's almost as if the amps were trying - and failing to go toe to toe with the bass to a certain degree without the Grind engaged.

Absolutely stellar.

$225 for a boost? Ehhh.... I dunno.

Certainly can't argue it'd be for everyone, unfortunately. :aww: Hopefully the used market is a little more kind on the wallet.

This is honestly the first pedal I've bought new since I was a teenager. Everything else has been... Well, from here, actually! Haha I'm not even kidding.

Definitely looking forward to your opinion on it. I'm sure you'll let us know once you receive it.

Absolutely!

Assuming I take delivery within the week, that is. Otherwise, I'll be remote for the following 3 weeks. I don't have the means to record like these guys, but I'll definitely get something together for you.

Can't wait to hear what you think. What amps are you trying it through?

I'll be using a Framus Cobra with an überkab and 90's Greenbacks. Which will be interesting because it'll get all out brutal as hell in the room - I mean, absolutely teeth rattling. But it has the tendency to "get lost" as it has trouble cutting through a band setting in a lot of scenarios, especially with the notch engaged.

Very interested to see how it pans out.

Yeah, I can't imagine the Cobra cutting through a live mix at all with the notch engaged. I didn't have any problems with the notch off, when I had one. This pedal should be amazing with the Cobra. Earlier today, I sent this clip to my buddy who owns my old Cobra and he's thinking about getting one. This pedal would also be killer with a Uberschall or SLO for brutal tones with tight picking. Tighten up the bottom and add that extra grind.
