-and I'll announce my self to your beautiful breast-ages!!!-

-soooo.... What's the ransom?

my perception for fortin is the amp for 7 strings or djent.
how well can fortin cover more traditional musics - ac/dc, vh, 80's metal, joe satch, gary moore... ??

Pfft, just great. More stuff to drool over that we'll never be able to afford.

They keep posting they are close to announcing... I'm guessing this announcement is the reason why Reza sold his limited Meshuggah head... He mentioned something better is on the way. I'm guessing a 2 or 3 channel version? I hope what ever it is won't have me regretting just ordering a Butterslax.

How can anyone regret buying a Butterslax? Fortin amps are truly great, but they're not for everyone. As far as I know, the Butterslax is pretty versatile.

I agree but they are definitely hyping the shit out of today's announcement... I'm not use to pulling the trigger on amps that cost that much so when I finally do order one and then the next week Fortin says they got something super dooper on the way, I just kind of sit there and take a big gulp lol.

The Bones I had was a rock amp. Not metal. Go listen to any song by Big Wreck. They use the Bones.

I've had 2 of his modded Marshalls and both could do heavy to classic rock no problem. One was a Cali and the other a Bones. Bones was heavier but the Cali could keep up, and you could get them very close to one another.
Mike Fortin is a great guy who is easily accessible and a top notch tone man. If you like Dave Friedman you'll like Mike.
Well worth the coin and wait I assure you.

I thought they use Morris amps?

The lead singer/guitarist uses a Bones (and probably a few other amps). You can see the Bones in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-HmW9rVAtVs

And they did a rig rundown vid somewhere where he goes over it in depth: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4WYm_VWbGDs

The Bones I had couldn't get "heavy." Sounded good. But more for a modern/'90s rock type of sound.

Reza's "something better" is his new ESP custom shop Horizon, WHICH IS AMAZING!

Errrl, you are always welcome to try my Fortin.

What fortin do you have? I've always heard such great things about them but have yet to try one.
