Hey Fellas -

I don't hang here (or any other forum or FB group) much at all these days but I saw this thread and thought I would chime in.

33 is basically the settings from a TC Preamp that Fred has used extensively in front of various amps to achieve his tones in Meshuggah. It is also a boost.

Grind are the low and high shelves from the Girth and Grind circuit that are in the Evil Pumpkin and Natas. It is also most definitely a boost.

I will agree that they are not super versatile and they really aren't meant to be. That is why the 33 has a channel switching jack on it so it can be turned of when going to a different amp channel. However, if you are into super tight and fast bass response, both pedals will get you there. If that is your thing I doubt you'll ever turn it of for rhythm playing.

I am working on a video as we speak. Mine will be thorough just like the two videos that I did for the Grind pedal.

Cheers!

It was your March of the SOD vid with the Grind that influenced me to get a Grind pedal. Straight up dude, you are one of the few youtube reviewers that plays the kind of thrash/hardcore riffs and songs that I want to hear... I dig your channel, looking forward to more vids...

Thanks! Hope you dig the Grind. I love that pedal.

Jason (Killertone) did another demo of of the Fortin 33. This time on a Marshall 2204 in Standard tuning and Dropped!

Excellent demo by Jason!

Thanks! I figured there were quite a few folks who'd like to hear it in standard into a Marshall. The pedal plays nice with just about any high gain gain amp I've ever tried it with.

Good call! It sounds amazing into my Boogie Mark V, too.

That vid with the 2204 sounds great. Thanks for that. I think your two vids (this one and the rectifier) are the best clips I've heard of this pedal. That, and it's hard to beat a boosted 800
