Got mine yesterday. Sounds wicked!! It gives you sort of a metallic crunch.

I had the Grind & Precision Drive when they came out. It's a bit early to tell but i think this is the boost that will kick the Maxon OD808 out of the pedalboard.

I just want to chug all day with it.

 any way to make a clip??

What model was that last Randall amp in the Ola video? Sounded surprisingly good through my little speakers.

Does it sound much different that the Grind pedal? I thought the Grind sounded nasally and thinned out your tone a bit. All of the descriptions of the differences between the two on Fortins FB page were very vague.

This is exactly how i felt with the Grind pedal. The frequencies of the 33 are different and much better for my taste. Honestly, the 33 is how i though the Grind would have sound when i bought it.

It doesn't take out anything to your sound, it perfect the tone you already have. I think you would love it!

Nice! That's what I hoped to hear! The Grind removed too much low end and had really wierd mids. Think I'm gonna have to try one of these. Sounds like a fun pedal. Thanks.

I believe the 33 is based off of the TC electronics integrated preamp pedal...

This was my assumption as well. I ordered a 33 to give it a whirl, and I have an old TC Electronic Integrated Preamp pedal to A/B it with, so I'll report back later.

The problem with the T.C. electronics integrated preamp pedal is that it's pretty rare. The way i see it, at least we have a shot at it with a fixed EQ to Fredrik taste.

Definitely, and it's not the most practical thing to use in a modern setup either - no on/off switch, no LED, etc. Using it in a switching system wouldn't be bad, but still. I'm hoping the 33 is essentially everything I like about the TC, only with modern convenience. I usually run amps in one of 3 ways - straight in, boosting with a typical TS type OD for the mids and feel, or clean boosting (like with the TC). The Maxon OD808 has fought off contenders for my TS type for over a decade now. I'm hoping the 33 gives me a modern touch to clean boosting so the TC can retire to a "studio board".

THIS album was their best tones, IMO, (Destroy, Erase, Improve a close 2nd). Mesa Mk, I think?

Waiting to see, what's your opinion of the 33?

Here's my comparison of the 33 vs the Precision Drive

Fortin's a little brighter on the attack. That's about all the difference I can hear. Nothing a bump in presence/treble on the amp wouldn't take care of.

I think mine is slated to arrive on Friday, so I'll get to plug it in this weekend and give it a go. I'll probably toss it in a looper so I can A/B with the TC.

I got my 33 today... it made my Rivera K Tre sound like a uber tight chug chug machine... did not want to go to work today :aww:

Also tried in on a Dirty Shirley mini and holy shit.. it was like Rob Halford came out and sang "I'm made of Metal! My circuits gleam!" lol
