Found this interesting les paul special today

I found this interesting lil Les Paul Special today.

It’s made in Japan.
Has an open book headstock.
Has a traditional bell truss rod cover.
Has a Gibson style truss rod.
Dark rosewood board.
Bone nut.
Grover Deluxe tuners.

But it’s an Epiphone. 2000 build year if my calculations are correct. Built in the Fuji-Gen Plant.

Maybe a limited edition?

Obviously it’s a shame that the bridge pickup was routed out for a humbucker. But that’s the breaks.

Nice 50s neck carve! It has a USA Gibson p90 in it and a 57 Classic plus. Sounds AWESOME!! Plays incredibly good!!!!

I dig it. I'd be tempted to try an SD P-Rails in the bridge pup spot.
