Fractal Audio Axe-fx +, -, ? and now Kemper KPA has arrived.

I think that there should be a way (if not now, then eventually) that the Kemper could model the sweep of the EQ, so basically you'd do the impulse thing for the sound, then do a second profile for the sweep of the eq.

I doubt it. At the end of the day, the Fractal product is still a perfect 2U in size and boasts a shitload of studio grade effects IN ADDITION TO its over-the-top models/emulations. They've really got it going on, as upsetting to some as that might be.

I've never had so much fun with gear like I have with the Axe-FX II. I can't compare it to any past models but all I know is that I'm constantly inspired when I plug into that thing. If I'm feeling Alice in Chains, I turn on a Friedman patch, if I want to jam on Anthrax, I do a Recto or similar. For someone A.D.D. who can't sit still, the Fractal works. :)

As far as this new German amp replicator, it looks like a cool idea. I was checking out videos today. I'm skeptical but that is just because it was amazing what it can do and seems too good to be true. It actually captures the internals of an amp so after the amp has been replicated, you can adjust the amp's gain and other stuff. Seems really neat.

Mine showed up Dec 2nd. It is fine without any issues. I like the line that was added but didn't really notice it till it was mentioned here. :D
 
I'm there with ya, jlbaxe!!

Already played 6 to 8 hours on it and it didn't get turned on till Tuesday (albeit it arrived Monday). Thing's awesome - no quirks with its boot-up, no quirks with buttons. It does get a bit wiggy when I spin the dial quickly on the preset patches, but this happens in such context. My Denon home stereo amp does the same with the volume - if I crank it FAST in either direction, it just does a couple notches in completely unrelated directions.
 
axe fx drama killing me. If you buy the axe at full pop $2599., do u det it sooner ? Or you go on the loonngg waiting list? and if u get it sooner by paying the full price, how long is the eta ?

If you pay $2599 then they have those in stock and will ship it to you as soon as you pay. Only if you're on the waiting list for a $400 rebate will you have to wait for months. If you don't live in the USA you can't buy one direct so you'll have to get through whichever retailer sells them and wait for a very long time for them to get stocks.

I agree with Ventura , Cliff is obviously selling lots of units there's a market for it , there's money in it , Why cant he hire a few more employees?

Every company must grow at some point and growing pains are part of that process but don't make your customers suffer , and wait and continually delay products just hire more people .I bought a kemper I thought about waiting 2 years or so on a list for an axe but then I read reviews on the kemper and got one, its an awesome unit , And I waited 1 day had it shipped overnight wow no shortages!! amazing what companies can do when they hire more employees!!

This makes no sense the fastest and quickest way possible to build anything was invented by Henry Ford years ago its called the assembly line and the factory .
Is he building each unit by hand while eating Dove bars? is that why it takes so long? Maybe you guys should look inside see if there is chocolate grease smeared on the circuit board .

The Axe II is currently in stock. Problem with resurrecting Zombie threads is that info contained there-in may not be up to date.

well this zombie still thinks its silly have a waiting list for an axe fx either build them and sell them or let someone else do it right

There is no Axe FX waiting list. There is a coupon waiting list. If you don't want a coupon, buy the product at full price, and let this thread die since its outdated at this point.

Not even that anymore. Ya just buy it for $2199 now. Too much for me still though.
