Here's 3 songs from my band's show in front of 10,000 fans the other night in Pennsylvania...the AX8 is running direct. View from my side of the stage. Line 6 G10 is my wireless.

Nice gig dude ! I thought it sounded fine.
You guys did a great job.

That's a good crowd :)

What are you using to power that? I never really looked into the AX8 until recently. I don't know much about it but they seem pretty awesome.

It's running direct so you really don't need to power it with anything. I had my 5153 and 412 on stage only so I could hear it but what you hear on the video is the out front sound and some of my wedge.

Ya sorry I completely missed that you said direct lol

Sounds too digital....

Maybe the fact he's playing to 10k people & you seem like you're always playing a different tube amp clip from your Mom's basement, has you a little butthurt

SkyhighRocks......your AX8 sounded very good & you and your band play & sound awesome

That Ozzy tribute guy on here has already more than proved that the AX8 can hold its own live with any tube amp.

I originally had a negative response to reza but I edited it out so as not to derail the topic. But thanks for somewhat taking words out of my mouth.

No harm here! I had a feeling it was a joke...no big deal. I'm an internet veteran. ;) Thanks for watching everyone!

Man that was awesome. You guys ever make it out to michigan?
Like to check out the show.
Your rig sounded great.

Thanks! Haven't been to michigan yet, although I'm going their for the Nations Cup in April. (my daughter's theatre on ice team is representing the U.S...Ann Arbor I think.) We've been down south as far as Biloxi, Mississippi though. Mostly northeast as it's hard to get venues to pay for plane tickets. =)

That is great. I was youtubing last night and stumbled across a gear rundown video you did. Small youtube/rigtalk world. Happy to see the band is going strong.

I loathe hauling gear these days and have been loving the ax8 and the CLR. I do miss having a bckline cab though. I could use my Splawn 2x12 I assume, but not sure how to power it effectively...and inexpensively

Also, how difficult would it be to set up like that? I mean as far as programming? I already have all my patches and scenes dialed in running mono with cab sims out1 to CLR and out2 to FOH

I'm still a beginner with this thing. I have it to sound great so I haven't messed with it any deeper. Sure miss a back line cabinet though :aww:

You would only need to insert an fx loop before the cab in the chain to use a real amp/cab. Or, you could put your CLR behind you like a cab...just stand it on the little feet and make sure to switch it to BL (backline).

I don't like the CLR as a back line. I'm just wondering what to use to power my 2x12 cab with. Wondering if a cheapo power amp would sound ok or what kind of wattage needed? Idk, maybe I'll just keep things as they are. I'm an idiot with this stuff :aww:

There are lots of lightweight (~4kg) PA power amps you can get at the $200-300 range. Like the Crown XLS series and Carvin DCM series.

If you want something really portable this will likely to be fine with some reinforcement from the monitors:

I was totally joking. but you fuckers are too tight assed to laugh at the irony.
