Sounds super tight, with nice note definition and chopped treble on the high end. I'm going to have to check one of these out too. Was Jerry running a noise gate in the video?

i thought it sounded exactly like his live tone, the check my brain and Stone riffs sound off the record to me too.

Interesting to hear the difference the LP made vs the G&Ls, you can hear that thickness and beef :D

AWESOME AMP!!!

I have more Friedman gear incoming as we speak!!!

I'm going to be in the minority here but I really didn't dig the audio recording of the vid. If this is Jerry's live tone, they didn't capture it well. I saw AIC live in Sydney back in February at Soundwave Festival and his tone was ripping. Best guitar sound of the day. Were these the same amps Dave? Jerry's tone has always been one of my favourite's and live he sounded awesome. Either way good luck with the series. I don't think it will have trouble selling

It was exactly what front of house sees. Put a band around it and it will be different. Would it have been even better miced up in a studio instead of the rehearsal room? Yes. More videos to follow.

Two things.

1. It's sounds to me like part of the key to Jerry's classic tone is that G&L guitar. Sure, he sounds like himself, but when he grabs that guitar...that's the AIC tone.

2. I liked the clarity of notes with high gain. Lots of gear combos mush out some frequencies, it seemed that regardless guitar I could hear all the strings/notes. That's on the amp.

Wish I had the coin for one.

Not so fast Mr.F, the sound that the artist, who refined the sound over 6yrs, wanted in his in-ears at a gig is of no consequence.
A more conscientious builder would try to find out where 'raz311' was standing at this open air festival, then factor in how the mic'd up sound is screwed over by a massive PA, the dampening effect of tens of thousands of people, and the losses that lack of reflection caused. Then re-EQ the clip accordingly.

OR

It just doesn't get any better than the artist introducing then demoing their own amp.
I wrung my hands in glee to see Jerry bring it with his rig and no accompaniment.
Truly the motherload for a spoilt internet generation, even if not everyone quite gets that on first viewing.
No doubt the majority are having no such issues.

GOD himself could send down from heaven Thee Holy Grail mother of all amps, the Alpha and Omega of electrons and someone on the interweb would tell him he's doing it wrong ... :D

Loved it. Sounds fantastic. No FX, no gate. I'd rock the hell out of that. Nice job.

At first I didn't realize it was Jerry, still not used to his short hair. Amazing sounding amp, is this a mod(s) or a new design from the ground up?

wow, another great sounding amp to the Friedman camp. All Dave's amps just sound killer. Awesome video!!!

Wow! There's a new sheriff in town! Sounds just like the records.
