At first I didn't realize it was Jerry, still not used to his short hair. Amazing sounding amp, is this a mod(s) or a new design from the ground up?
It's his own signature amp.

Cool video!!! definitely had to get the signed JJ100 from King Guitar
Can't wait to plug my blue dress rampage into it...thanks Dave, Brad!!

Thanks, but I was meaning like was this built from a platform you had already created as another amp, then modded it to his specs, is it based off one of his older amps (snorkeler, uber, fish...), or is it a whole new design you two worked together to create? If you don't mind sharing.

This is difficult to discern but see if you can follow :

Jerry Cantrell wanted his own amp,

Dave Friedman built Jerry his amp ....

that pretty much covers it.

Wow, that is freaking killer! Great job Dave. Want.

It started with the Brown eye and we went from there.

You got to make sure it has the correct amount of gain and tone first

This could get of of hand

But seriously, this amp rocks.

And I love my own Brown Eye......I have one, seriously........Amp that is.......

Almost got out of hand there.

Very nice!
Musical toneful clarity and grit.

This is one of those amps that proves you don't need no pedals to awesome, gainy tone with clarity.

Too bad for me that I don't want to pay the price for that level of goodness.
But just for cats curiosity, how much? :)

I just love when artists are actually willing to let the rest of us capture their signature tone... Or attempt to anyway. Jerry's no nonsense explanation is as awesome as the amp. Can't wait to plug into mine.

Sounds great. Wish I could afford the price of admission. Congrats to Dave and Jerry. Im sure you'll sell quite a few.

Its especially cool because it seems to cover the wide spectrum of amps/tones he's used since the early 90s, and IMO they varied widely. I saw AIC recently, and Jerry's tone was spectacular, and he really seemed to have a fluid, sustained lead tone that I don't think we get to hear on this video. Its nice to see someone stay close to their core sound. At the opposite end is, for example, Mike McCready. I'm a big PJ fan, but I am not a big fan of a lot of the guitar tone...its odd to see/hear McCready trying to play the solo to "Animal" using a Telecaster with a low-gain, fuzzy tone. So, I really dig that Jerry still brings the heavy.

sounds cool
i wonder how it would stack up against the legendary "SNORKLER"
i also wonder if jerry would still shell out 15k for the snorkler
