When will these start shipping? I think I will buy one one they actually are being produced and shipped. :rock: :rock: :rock:
 
I might get a few face palms but could you get a simple clean channel put in one of these?
 
Sounds really, really good! How does it clean up with say, a strat-style, guitar w/ the pups in the notched position?

Like in real life, if you were in the dark, you might not realize if you were playing with a Pink Taco or a Brown Eye :)

I would think the Brown Eye would be a bit tighter, no? (Because of the bigger glass of course ;) )

Not if you play like Hendrix, where the thumb doubles as a surrogate for some of the lower work.

Not dark at all. I typically play everything with too much gain. The VH would sound closer had I used less gain. What are you listening through?

I would agree the highend presence isnt there, sounds like a dark Marshall.

Also, lots of gain for VH!

Ill probably get slammed for this but i think all these Friedman amps sound to dark. If you take Van Halen as great Marshall tone, the Friedmans are too gainy, too much low end and not a very promonent high end. Prefer my JVM, not worth the extra coin IMO. But then again i haven't played one so... Go figure
 
Obviously I have to say this out loud. I'm NOT trying to duplicate the VH tone...ever. I play with way more gain and don't have his hands. I just enjoy the riffs...most of the time I don't even play in the same fret positions as he does.

The Friedman amps have lots of gain available...there are controls for gain, presence, treble, mids and bass...and they actually work.
I run my BE100 with the tones all at around 5 except bass a little more, there is plenty of top end to take it way out of dark territory.

In this video bass, mids, treble were all around 5-6 or 1 o'clock.

Sounded great Mark, and everyone has their own amp setting preferences.

Fortunately, with the Friedman stuff, there is more than enough of each frequency on tap to go from 0-60, in a millisecond.
 
i wonder if the comments with regards to how dark the friedman stuff is are due to the speakers? I have heard people say that the lynchback is a little darker than a greenback. i also tend to hear a bump in lower mids and less on top with his stuff. sounds great though!

That is the question that seems tough to answer. I am ready to buy one right now but I am not ready to send my money to anyone and wait for an undetermined amount of time before the amp is shipped. As soon as I know the waiting time and it isn't crazy long I will buy one. :rock: :rock: :rock:
 
Well I think we will also do a video with different speakers so you guys can see that. We will also do different guitars etc. Hard to please everyone. Some people say my amps are bright some say dark. Some people have lost there top end of there hearing also. It's hard to be happy!!!
