Friedman Runt 50 clip

Joel, this a great demo. I enjoy your YouTube channel, for one reason because you demo the same types of sounds that I like. The Runt 50 is a killer amp. That Motor City pickup sounds vicious! I also love that clean tone at the beginning of the video. What's the neck pickup?
 
Absolutely nothing wrong with those tones! It sounds like a really good rock/hard rock amp!:2thumbsup:

The neck pup is a Voodoo 59 PAF style pickup. And a huge thank you.
 
My Runt 50 slays and will probably make me thin the herd a bit in the near future. I A/B'ed it with my Suhr SL67 the other day and the Runt won. Will do that with the SLO-30 later today. I can't part with some of my big box Marshalls, but I only need one small box head and I'm loving the Runt.

The master volume is nice, but the amp really shines when you can get the power section working as well.
 
I run mine with the volume dimed through a Hot Plate with its volume turned back one notch. I only play it when Mrs. Lee isn't home and I wear earplugs.

Been there. Preferred the Runt over the SLO30, it's tighter and more straightforward. I just sold a Runt 50, bought a 3534 50 watt, sold it, and picked up another Runt 50. I've owned one like 5 times, it's nuts. I don't know why, but the prices on the Runt 50 have dropped like a rock. I found this one on Marketplace and it has a custom, all-black headshell. Appears to be a 2016. Did a full retube with JJ KT77's in the power section, and it rips.
 
I got my used Runt for $1035 delivered from GC and then $50 in Gear Card credits. Huge bang for the buck there.

Yeah, I got this one for $1050. This one seems more aggressive than others I've owned. Sold the Hot Mod I got for it and actually prefer this one without it. I just double boost with an EQ and an OD up front. Just rips.
