I suspect the boards are populated in China, then everything is assembled here in the States.

As said above, these days it really doesn't matter where it's made. Quality from overseas manufacturing has increased greatly recently.

I couldn't agree more.

In a lot of cases, made in China is overtaking made in America in quality.

That made in American strat that people are paying premium dollars for is mostly parts from overseas & assembled in the USA & the customer pays more simply because it says made in USA on the headstock.

Now a days, if it sounds good to you, then it makes no difference where it's made. However, I hate when people charge premium USA prices for products that are mostly Chinese.

Friedman and the guy who builds his amp came here and said 100% of the Friedman products are all made in America. Nothing is made or assembled in China (or anywhere else) except for a simple footswitch. This is why they charge the prices they do for their amps and pedals. If the were using partially built or partially assembled amps from China, clearly they would lower their prices and not take advantage of the musicians they are selling to.

Maybe they can come here and reclairfy what they said once before?

With regards to the first clip, it sounded too generic and the bottom end was flubby. Just my .02. I heard better amps of theirs.

The $200 BE pedal sounds just as good as these crappy demos. No way to tell till you try them yourself. You can't judge feel from a YouTube clip

Don't hold your breath for any manufacturer who claims 'made in the USA' & uses a ton of off shore parts & just assembles in the USA to come clean here or any where else.

It's just not good business to do so.

Made completely in the USA. I'm waiting for some forum members to post some real world videos. I am interested in the Runt 50 but just not sure yet. The only thing I'm really not liking so far is the low end doesn't seem tight.
Really? I guarantee Dave wouldn't put out an amp with a floppy bottom end.

Oh, and what's your guarantee worth? A refund if someone doesn't like the amp?
Ha ha ha ha ... :loco:

Mine not floppy sounding. You can't judge by a YouTube video! I mean it will give you an idea but you have to play one live to really judge it. Different speakers/cabs will make a difference also as I'm sure you are aware. The sweetwater demos didn't do it for me. I took a chance and purchased one got it home and made it bark. I couldn't be happier and I've had the SMALLBOX, PT20 and BE100. This amp definitely stack up with all of those tone wise.

Got one coming in a few days....Just hope it has enough gain for my liking....Best Friedman i ever played is the JJ....Hands down that amp is the real deal...

Since the boost is not switchable I'm running the gain around 2:00 O'clock for a classic crunch and have a cheap ass overdrive for higher gain stuff and it rips! I also run my AX8 4CM and its just fantastic!

Not really looking to boost it... I just need enough gain in the amp... My jj is going to be a hard amp to compete with...the amp just nails everything I like.... The taco I had a year ago did not have enough gain for my liking... I felt it needed a sat switch and a presence knob... The runt has the presence knob but I'm not sure if the boost acts like a sat switch....will see

Same gain as the pt20. The boost isnt a diode clip circuit, its either stock or lower gain as its a 2 position switch.

Not sure if you are right on the boost switch. I don't think it is a 2 way switch. Just a switch to add some front end gain.

It's a cut switch. "Boost" mode is the normal mode. Dave explains it in the Sweetwater video.
