yeah this amp does the vintage thing much better than the naked or the be/hbe. It was so open sounding & the sustain, damn, it was just off the hook!

While I think that sounded fantastic, It was Steve Stevens playing for crying out loud. That guy could plug into my a#% and make it sound good... :emofag: :grim:
oh no i'm not falling for that song and dance again,
the old "trust me i sound like an angry herbert" he says....

last time you sucked up my 18 ft. zaolla like a marathon runner carb loading on spaghetti the night before the Pasquetta 10k

Me and Superunknown (Todd) played the SS some Friday. I also played the BE/HBE. SS was awesome! The lit Raygun logo gave it a cool cosmetic vibe. The tone was a dream. I agree about having a little more gain on tap. I can't say enough good things about both amps and David is a cool guy :) Killertones 76" Les Paul sounds badass in the video.

This is one of those "Ill have to reserve judgement until Ive played through that thing with my own hack abilities" moments

sounds great.starting the penny pinching now.SS for me by the end of the year!

Hey guys

Dave worked on the SS Amp all day yesterday and we sent Steve some pictures of the panels so steve could work on the cosmetics. Dave and I a/b steves current friedman with the proto from the video and Daves working on the more gain. The amp should be ready to go really soon.

As of now, the amp will have a full clean channel and dirty channel w/ metro loop. Im hoping the "more gain" will be a switchable thing. I loved the way the amp sounded as is. A switchable higher gain mode would make it perfect.

Is the full clean channel the same as the one that used to be available on the Marsha? If so, it's hands down one of the best clean tones going...it seriously rivals my Matchless Chieftain. So much better than I ever expected from a Marshall-style platform.

Dang man, Dave's amps sounded killer in the room. Was really cool hanging out and being able to hear such great amps in person.

I really liked his pairing of Greenies/V30 in one of his cabs.

the SS clean sounds better in my opinion and also has a 3 position bright switch. There is a real bright setting on the clean that is really cool for guys that want a real chimey clean when using humbuckers like Steve does

Sounds great. Best new amp by far I've heard as far as video clips. Steve Stevens does help though.

amps sound like amps, they all sound the same regardless of who is playing them.

1. I'm really sorry Gary Moore never got to play through something like that.

+1 billion dollars
Btw I remember speaking with Friedman back circa 2008 and suggesting that SS try a Metropoulos amp at the time. Dave said they didn't have enuff gain for Steve. 2012 George is building Steve's amp..funny old world innit.. :D
