Thanks, man! Was a blast playing the 7s through the Naked and SS model. Great sounding amps for sure.

Man, I love that tone. Too bad it's so ugly.

You have some nerve calling that amp ugly. Have you seen your avatar?    Well, at least they both sound great.
My avatar? Give me a break.

hey :gethim: some guys just dont like "backyard decks" that are painted RED

So true.  I have to go repaint mine now. It's red.

Can it be built into an MTS sig module? That's your next task.

Will this be a PTP type deal or PCB with the intent of a more mainstream production of these and sale point?

He would still like to make some cosmetic tweaks and maybe add a gain boost also. So we will make a official video and announcement when done for sure. Won't be long.

That's fantastic Dave. I'm in. That fucker's going to be a bad boy for sure. Please though, No purple, please.

;)  Of course we're not talking about MY avatar. All kidding aside, the SS amp(and CAA) sound pretty damn sweet. I actually like the offset look of the SS amp. The CAA just always reminds me of a combo amp that was converted to a head. Good thing I care more about what it sounds like than what it looks like.

Any idea how much this is gonna cost? Will it be within the reach of mere mortals? :gethim:

i love the neck pickup tone in that axe...so authoritative!!
what you got in there KT?

Good ol' Duncan '59.

I think that amp sounds great, but have to especially love that the neck pickup tone everyone is drooling over is a duncan '59 :D

Kind of like how people go nuts over various guys' current signature pickups or boutique variants they happen to be using NOW when all of their signature tones were made using regular pickups like JBs, duncan distortions, or regular EMGs etc. ;)

While I think that sounded fantastic, It was Steve Stevens playing for crying out loud. That guy could plug into my ass and make it sound good... :emofag: :grim:

This is one of those "Ill have to reserve judgement until Ive played through that thing with my own hack abilities" moments

Sounds great Dave as usual.
How does this amp differ from the Brown Eye tonewise? Can this SS still nail the vintage tones, it does sound a tad more modern...

2 thoughts

1. I'm really sorry Gary Moore never got to play through something like that.

2. I'm really glad that SS demo'd the thing wet. It makes aaaaall the difference.

I played on it a fair amount and it will definitely do vintage tones. I thought it was much less modern sounding than the Naked or BE/HBE amps I played.

I played this amp today at Tone Merchants, it was killer, heavy, clear, cleaned up nice when turned down on the guitar. Tons of gain but clear. Nice feel under your fingers too. Also tried the Metro-Friedman totally dimed. Both amps were awesome.

I tried it today too. It seems like Dave knows what he is doing. Ive been saving up for one of his amps.

Was that you while I was there? Damn I wish I recognized you!

Damn that sounds great. I want one but can't afford one.
