The time went by quick didnt it? He's such the perfect picture of an amp mad scientist. Time fflew by when I was up there. If I didnt have a dinner thing back in HB I would have just done a three day amp binge.

No doubt - he really is a mad scientist of amps! I wish I could have hung out longer, but I'm sure I'll be cruising up to hang out again soon...

Very cool story Steve and glad that Mark was able to help you out! Looking at an amp for the first time and grasping what needed to be done shows that he knows what he is doing and then some ;)

Thanks and yes, clips soon...

A couple of things really helped with the troubleshooting - first Mark is really familiar with the Jose circuit (obviously) and second I have really good, very detailed detailed schematics and layout diagrams - without them, it would have been really difficult to spot the few missing connections that were killing the signal...

Nice. Mark is a really cool dude. I hate talking amps with him since he talks fast and stuff goes right over my head
I know, right? I'm like, "Slow down, man - explain that to me again..." :) He is so cool - I think he's happy to have people come by and hang out because where he lives and works is in this industrial area where there isn't much to do...

Yeah, there was another thread with clips. You can get to the clip from the link in my sig. I'm really happy with how it turned out. George Lynch played it at a studio I lent it to and dug it - I did a thread on him playing it with some crappy pics. It was used at the studio for Dee Snider's new solo album that is still in the works. Chubtone played it and really dug it...

I did a minor re-design to address some requests from people who have played it and am in the process of converting the design to PCB for ease of construction and consistency of tone. I expect that to be done, a new prototype built and tested and the first production run available for purchase near the end of the year...
