Fryette/VHT ultra lead or sig x

Deliverance. One channel of amazingness. Will keep up with the SLO or Wizard. OK maybe not quite but I had my last SLO at the same time as a D60. A/B'd them and surprisingly close...all the great things about an SLO are there as far as articulation and thump, and a fraction of the cost. Only 1 channel but even at high gain it cleans up with the volume knob better than any amp out there. Used for 6-800 and for that cost nothing touches it.
 
I prefer the Sig X and Deliverance.... But the UL might fit you better.

If your good with a single channel amp that let's you get the full range of clean on up with the guitar volume I would recommend the Deliverance for you.

60 or 100 watt?

I like the D60 best, 2 KT88s honestly feel like 100w instead of 60. Had the 120 also, smoother with more low end. The 60 is hairier/more raw and still has great low end. The newer ones come with a loop, but you can send an older one to Fryette for the loop mod. I'm picking a D60 up on Friday...stoked. :rock:
 
I had a Sig X. You can make it sound like anything. Marshall, HiWatt, Slo, Fender cleans. Doesnt do them 100% but close enough. Easy to dial in. Only got rid of it because it gets loud quick. I mean LOUD. Hits you in the chest like a sledgehammer. If you play out great amp. Too much for home use IMO....
 
Out of the UL and Sig X I feel the UL is better for more heavy sounds. The Sig X does better at more vintage sounds and is the most versatile amp Fryette has made. Both amps are more than capable of doing vintage and modern sounds for any style of music. I see Fryette as being more in the Hiwatt family. Part of the reason I prefer the Sig X is the clean channel can get very close to the classic Hiwatt sound. I prefer the tone of the Deliverance 120 over the Deliverance 60. I usually prefer a bass heavy sound. The only thing I do not like about the Deliverance 120 is it gets very loud very quickly with the master volume. The D60 & D120 are very similar sounding. This is just what my ear hears.
 
Every VHT amp is brutal in one way or another.

The Sig X is like the Deliverance with the bells and whistles but maybe not quite as brutal.

The D120 can actually get very similar to a Rev 2 but it is darker and maybe a bit more compressed and less sag.

The 100CL Pitbull is fucking mean dude. Completely brutal brutal amp and the Ultra lead is more similar to the 100CL but just wider sounding. Not AS brutal IMO but many say it's a better amp.

But for you Reza, I honestly think you are in the CLX territory. From your clips and amps I think the Sig:X would suit you best. Otherwise if you want sheer brutality I'd personally go for the 100CL.

The really old (1993-1994) UL's and Pitbulls are not as good and have different PI's. So keep an eye for the year.
 
I have happily owned a Sig X for about five years now and it just kills! Does everything really well and is built like a tank. The UL is bad to the bone as well and very versatile but not to the level the Sig X is since it can do the vintage tones too. If I were only doing metal I would pick the UL since to me it's the definition of brutal metal tones. The Siggy does brutal very well but the UL has that extra touch of evil I've never heard in another amp.

Everyone is different but I don't have the same experience. Mine sounds better loud but sounds fantastic at lower volumes too.
 
I prefer the Sig X. Sold my ul three years ago. The versatility and warmth of the Sig X are pretty amazing. It puts a smile on my face still after 2+ years of ownership. As a serial gear flipper, I haven't even entertained selling it.

I never did try the UL through a Fat bottom cab though. I am told that's a big difference maker. When I had the UL I ran it through a Mills Afterburner 412 with V30's. It sounded great, but again, not quite as smile inducing as the Sig X has been through every cab I've used it.

Just getta UL its really a amazing amp.... never tried the deliverance before but after having the GPDI where it could switch from Pittbull to deliverance i can then understand the differance between these two... if not wrong the the deliverance is more organic more old school tone than the UL for modern metal tones...

Am very happy with my VHT collection as it always sound good and i thought thats it but until recently i heard the wizard MTL and MC2 you did... wonderful clip... i guess am now dying for a wizard MC2 as i wanna get something more old school thinking since i already have a UL... i think all in all these two amp manufacturer are just top in my list :)

(If YOU get a Sig-X,you will flip it for a UL. If YOU get a UL and flip it for a Sig-X,you will wish you had kept the UL. The D-120 with factory loop I have is a great amp,especially at used pricing,but YOU will still be wanting to try a UL. The CLX is amazing too,but no matter what VHT/Fryette amp YOU get you will still be wondering about the UL until you get one.)
 
Had both, but i am a metal head, so i kept my UL. the Sig is flat out amazing, the most versatile amp ever, can do any tone, and do it well. I am still entertaining grabbing another Sig at some point.

If your a metal tone chaser, the UL will suit you better, more aggressive and bold, less saggy. The Sig can get very bold and tight too, but not quite like the UL.

I say, when the best deal comes up, grab it, be it a Ul or Sig.

Couldn't have said that better myself.
 
The UL is one of my favorite amps I've ever owned, and I've owned and played a lot of amps. It does any tone you could want. The Sig X and Deliverace models are great too, but they aren't on the same level as a UL. I liked the UL a lot more than the CLX too.
 
Deliverance 120, killer amp. covers rock to super heavy Uber type gain but with more clarity and less squish.
 
Vht is one of the amp manufacturers i've been close to buying from several times. The UL is a beast!
