I have a bunch of “scrap” copper and PVC. Anything from 2 feet to 5 feet in length. The copper is 1/2 and 3/4 inch. The PBC is 1/2 , 1, 1-1/2 inch. It’s obviously worth saving for future use, but it’s in the way. I need a way to store it so it’s out of the way, but I can easily see what I have. Ideas?

I'd build a rack for it against a wall if possible. Either horizontal or vertical, whichever makes the most sense.

Up in the rafters bro. That's where mine is.

No exposed rafters in my garage…
Screw a couple 2x4s to the rafters, through the drywall, and build a rack. If it were me I would fabricate one out of box tubing or 3/4" pipe and screw that into the rafters, but I have welders and steel.

I say that, but just the other day when I was cleaning out my very large garage I took note of a piece of 6" schedule 40 that's maybe 5' long, leaning against the wall between the 2 garage doors that is stuffed full of smaller diameter pieces of PVC and thinking " fuck, I need to do something with that shit. lol

I thought about getting a length of large diameter PVC and stuffing the pieces into it, but you don’t really know what you have without dumping it out. I guess I could split it in half, but seems like a PIA.

I think everyone covered the basic idea, a rack system of some type. Vertical, horizontal, rafters, etc.

Not sure if it'd be a 1:1 coloration, but for wood scraps I store longer pieces horizontally in the rafters and smaller pieces will go in a divided bin according to wood type.

Finished cleaning the garage this morning. I have a truck full of steel, mostly scraps and shit I don’t want, to take down to the neighbor’s scrap trailer. Organized my steel and my shelves. And my cubby where I keep two of my welders. We park two cars in here so everything heavy is on wheels so I can use the entire floor when I’m doing something.

Of course I washed my car this morning after I took it out of the garage and my bro in law picks today to burn a bunch of shit across the street from me and the wind blew ashes all fucking over it. 🙄

In the first pic you can see the god damn PVC tube full of other PVC right between the two garage doors.

On the floor behind the saw horse is the most useful and best tool ever invented. A Milwaukee porta band. I was cutting 3/8" rebar to make 3' long U shaped stakes for securing a steel cello in the front garden on the opposite side of the piano harp.
