I just put this up. It's the 1st video of 3 that I'm doing on Gary Moore speed licks. I'll be putting the other 2 up in the next couple of weeks. If you're looking to incorporate some fast pentatonic type licks into your playing I think these vids will help you. Working on these licks gave me even more appreciation of just what a great guitar player he was.

Good luck and as always I hope you get something out of it.
cheers

I have that exact guitar! I was enticed enough to break out the LP and tinker around with it.

Sweet, thanks. Need to check it out when I get home from work.

Very cool. Thanks for taking the time to put something like this together.

Hey Moshaholic, my amp is an Egnater Renegade and my LP is a 1975 deluxe. I've had everything replaced on it but the things that I think give it it's tone are the Suhr Aldrich pickups (love those) and the tonepros locking bridge and tailpiece (awesome for sustain and intonation).

I also put in a tusq XL nut which is just awesome, any one who plays an LP will know about the G string binding in the nut and causing all kinds of tuning problems, well take my advice, get one of these! and say goodbye to that G string going sharp all the time. I mean it TOTALLY solved the problem for me.

In this vid I had a bit of amp reverb. I also had just a bit of BBpreamp, I probably didn't need it but it just "felt" better!

I use a TC Electronics Nova System for all my other effects. I run it through the loop. It's delays and modulation effects are just awesome. I also use a Butler/Chandler Tubedriver (rarely), a Boss CS3 compressor (even rarer) and a MXR MC404 CAE wah, that is the best wah peddle I've ever used. That's it.
I'm not a big effects guy, but a little bit in the right spot can help. I think that most of a players tone comes from the way they play more than anything so I try not to get too hung up on equipment.
cheers
