Mr. Peters, from listening to the sound samples, I'm really into the vega. Love that thick sound. I,however would want a higher gain version of this for the third channel though, as I feel the high gain channels sound too bright and uncompressed got my tastes. Is that something you would do? Like a boosted Pitbull. Thanks

A higher gain version of the Vega is the Gryphon or GNL, effectively. Perhaps you don't like the sound clips for those amps, possibly including the way the person dialed them in/recorded them.

Since I don't know what a boosted Pitbull sounds like, I can't say if I could do a different channel design like that. Offhand I'd say no since I'm not trying to do what VHT/Freyette does, but since I don't know the specifics of the sound you mean I can't say for sure.

(edit) Someone just reminded me about what a Pitbull sounds like in general (since I have heard one a few years ago). If you want a somewhat darker sound from any of my current designs, you can get it by turning the highs down. Most people don't though, and they usually leave the "edge" switch on (which makes the attack sharper, which I'm guessing you're not into). And for a more muscular sort of punch, turning the damping up (and complementing that with some of the depth control) works great. I think you'd like the Gryphon or GNL.
