I mean, I like to trade gear... But I hate to see my stuff on one of those "Selling off because ....." threads for much more. Kinda makes me feel..used. I do not mind to give a good deal to a guy with something I really like, and I don't care if he is not jelling with my stuff and puts it back on the market. But when the guy nickle and dimes you, values his shit at the high end and tells you stories about how your stuff is at the low end, then next day puts my guitar with bunch of others on the same forum...or he doesn't even waits for my gear to show up trading it with other guy...that is not right, imo.
Is it like a noob thing in me and I am the only one or someone kinda feels the same way?

you sold it or traded it. new owner can do whatever he/she wants IMO.

I hoard my gear, cuz I hate dealing with buyers and losing money. ;) But, if/when I sell something, (not into trades much, I only traded RM4 modules when I had that rig), once it's paid for and shipped I don't care what you do with it or to it.

+1

It sucks seeing that but, if he sold if for more, you could have probably as well.

As long as he didnt screw you over on the original deal, its all good imo.

Yeah, there's nothing wrong with what he did. You shouldn't be so willing to let your gear go at what you perceive to be below market value. Sure, sometimes we have to take a hit to move something quickly, but that is the seller's conscious decision. If you think someone is lowballing, pass on the deal.

Normally couldn't care less...once I'm done with it, I'm done....the exception (for me) would be if I gave a friend the "buddy" price, and they instantly flipped it at a profit without offering it back to me (assuming they didn't dig it).

That is kinda what I am talking about. Someone asks you to help him out and work with him, but then you see he post a thread with zillion guitars at pretty much retail prices.

Pretty much sums it up for me.

As for the "buddy price" deal. I only have one buddy who is a gear whore as well. Part of our "deal" is that if we decide to sell-the original owner gets first dibs at the original price. If they pass-all is fair from then on out.

Now this would piss me off.

Was it a buddy of yours?

I don't give those kinds of deals to people I don't know.....if it wasn't a friend, I wouldn't go any lower than I was comfortable with, so we're back to the "couldn't care less".

If it was a buddy, it's a friend problem, not a flipper problem

i dont think flippers are bad ,everyone likes to try different gear..
i think id be alittle bent though if ya give a forum member a rt break and he down grades your stuff, because he only looking to play car salesman.. :gethim:
now if he dont jell with what he bought and sells higher than bought price, thats different

The key word is "like trying different gear", I know people here who are not trying anything. They constantly looking for stuff to flip it quickly for profit. I am talking about those dudes who asking you to send your guitar to their"buddy's" place, and the buddy being the guy he has allready sold your shit to without even phisicaly having it yet.
I trade alot of guitars and learning about them in the process, but I am kinda tired of those who are trying to convince you that your guitar is not worse shit.
