over the past few years I have had to sell a bunch of terrific gear off. I miss a lot of it. Items that I miss the most are a bad ass custom shop charvel, evh charvel, 20th xtc, xtc 101b, a really cool suhr modern that I custom ordered, cornford mk50II, wizard modern classic, and a cool nuno n4. I mention these specifically because I was just looking at a photobucket album I have., reminded me of all the cool gear I had to sell to pay medical bills. check out some of the gear.

-also, if you look, look at the back of the vh4, can you make out what tubes those are?

always a bummer to sell gear you wish you could keep!

Of all the stuff I've sold, of which theres been a lot, the only things I truly miss are a LP Custom, BE-100, SLO-100 and Mesa Mark V...other than that all the other stuff i shouldn't have bought in the first place!!!

Not currently.I had sold a Moog Prodigy in the late 90s. It wasn't in great shape and I needed to reduce the amount of gear I had because I was moving out of state. I missed the Moog because none of the subsequent synths I owned sounded as big.

I resolved the issue last year by getting a Moog little phatty. I could have gotten another Prodigy for the same price but the modern Moogs are still well made and include MIDI and USB interfaces and sound very close to their predecessors. I like progressive rock (early Genesis, Yes, Rush, etc) and the modern Moogs can be connected to MIDI bass pedals or controllers with more keys whereas the vintage models are expensive and stand alone.

Another item I missed was a MIM Tele. I sold it to help pay for my first Parker (Nitefly) in the late 90s. I like the sound of a tele and knew I could get one again, I just never thought it would take so long before I got around to it. My wife got me a used one in near mint condition (with a nice hardshell case too) for about $300 last Christmas.

I don't really regret selling anything. Pretty much have always been able to keep what I liked, and sold what I didn't like, fortunately.

What I do regret is passing up on buying something that slipped through my fingers. A custom shop BC Rich Mockingbird that had a Kahler and beast headstock. That thing was badass. I played it, loved it, but seller and I couldn't see eye to eye on price, with a measely $50 split.

My 100B for sure and my 1998 Les Paul 58 RI - should have never sold either!

Voodoo Amps V-Rock Dual Lead
White 1988 JMC 800 2210
Titan Custom 100

5 years ago a friend of mine sold me his '84 JCM800 2203. For $250. I jammed with it for 3 weeks or so then came to the realization I would never be able to crank it up loud enough to get to sound the way it should. So I traded it for a JCM2000 DSL, then a month later traded that for a Bogner Alchemist combo, then traded that for an Alchemist head. Bigtime

Around that same time I also bought a Carvin Legacy from a guy on CL for $225. Same thing, I just couldn't play it as loud as it deserved, so I sold it.

Another  in that same year I bought a block letter 5150 at Guitar Center for $400 after a ton of discounts they let me use. It was a bit ratty looking, but it sounded killer. Ended working out a 3 way trade with a couple guys on HC. One guy had a JSX he wanted to trade for a 5150, another guy had a brand new 6505+ he wanted to trade for a JSX. We all agreed on the trade and we all came out happy. I got a new 6505+ basically for $400. I ended up selling it a few months later because I hated how it sounded with my recently purchased Soldano 4x12 cabinet. Turns out the stock speakers were not broke in and I thought every amp sounded terrible through it

I somewhat redeemed myself a few months ago when I bought a 6505+ off CL for $250.

GAS was a severe addiction back then, but I've been content for the last few years and haven't had to worry about it. Until yesterday when I jammed on a new DSL 100H.

My first real guitar - a 1962 Gibson SG Jr. Built the year I was born.

I missed selling my Fender Contemporary tele, so I ended up buying it back from my friend. :)

Should have never of sold my long time '95 Les Paul studio. Played and sounded great and light compared to my other Pauls.

Also, kind of miss the laney VH100R and Orange RV50H I used to have, but you have to thin the herd sometimes.

My mexi-strat with lace sensors and a hot rail. I really liked that guitar, sold it to buy drum gear, never saw it again.

My Bruno Cow Tipper Pro II. There's drunk buying, but that one was drunk selling.

I made the deal though so the next day, sober and all, off she went.

I miss my '87 Marshall 2210.It had snakeskin tolex and just nailed Schenker's tone

-marshall 8x10 cab-

-sunn 6x12 cab-(with inverted "V" baffle)-

'97 SG standard that I bought new..
..a few Silver Jub's that I got cheap in the early 90's that would be worth good money now (don't miss their tone)
..71 Superlead, bought for cheap from GC in 2004 and sold soon after because I freaked out about spending the money when I didn't have decent employment. Should have stuck it out.
…Should have kept at least one of the late 60's Bassman heads I used to buy in the early 90's for $150-200. They always sounded killer.
…A chrome chassis, 2 channel Triple Rec that I ordered new from Boogie in the late 90's when I worked at a Boogie dealer. Sold it to contribute for moving costs and didn't know how to dial it in all that well compared to what I know now, so off it went.

i really miss my jimmy page lp vos #2.
the neck was awesome and it was one of the best sounding les pauls i ever played. i was stupid and sold it to buy a gary rossington lp, dont get me wrong the rossington is really nice but that page lp never should have been sold. i had a decent offer at the time for my 50th anni gold coa R9 and i should have sold that instead.
