Generic latching switch doesn't change channels on Runt 50

I've got a generic latching switch for my SLO with an LED that functions properly with that amp but nothing happens when I try to use it with the Runt and I'm wondering what about the switch is causing it to not work. I used to have another switch without an LED that worked with both the Runt and SLO but sold that with my mesa studio preamp and I've been having no luck finding a switch that works properly (other than my Boss FS-5L but that has a flickering LED)

Here's the inside.

I've made switches before so if I need to make something else that will work, I just need to know what should be different. I'd prefer a functioning LED but it's not 100% necessary.

My first guess would be the Friedman has less voltage than the SLO at the amp's pedal/channel(wtf it's called) jack.
Try bypassing (taking out of circuit) the LED in the pedal and see what happens. Let us know the results.
 
Ive got friedman foot switches at home. Ill try and take a look tonight and let you know what I see or share a pic...
