Here's a quick clip I did of serial#01 this morning after I brought my daughter to her 1st day of kindergarten All controls are set at 6 1/2 (about 2o'clock) except for the gains and master. Master is at 4 and gain 1 is dimed . Gain 2 is at about 8 which is 3 o'clock. Know that there is a lot of gain left on tap. The difference between 8 and 10 is equal to the difference betten 4 & 8. 1st part of the clip is without the footswitch boost on. The lead is with the boost on. Signal chain is a center mic'd 57 on a greenback 4x12 into an API 512 . No EQ... just a 100hz high pass on the lead and a little reverb on both. Excuse the sloppiness, it's too early in the morning to be doing this . (I played in the control room)

oh HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is some GREAT TONE!

I think it sounded great  I would bet that any perceived "scratchiness" would disappear in a live mix.

This.

That was a little bright by itself, but I'd be willing to bet that that tone would SLAY in a mix with bass and drums.

You know it!!

I didn't think it was overly bright at all. Sounded just right to my ears. As said earlier, in a mix it'd be perfect, and I think it sounds great on its own also.

I have to agree, that would cut very well in a band situation. Sounds friggin' great, IMO. Well done, Sir!

Sounds good whats the story. Did you mod it? Plexi reisue ?

I really dig the basic tone, but there is definitely some sort of rattle happening on the high end. I've noticed it in my plexi's cranked to a small degree - but it's never been as loud on a recording as loud as it is on this recording.

Sure it sounds a little ratty on its own but I like it and agree it'd sound great in a mix.

I will listen again when I get home on the monitors but I am digging the tone!

Ya man, sounds great, I wouldn't say scratchy, more crunchy.
