wow alot of comments here lol
i would be interested to hear a clip with the treble turned down a few notches just out of curiosity.
i mostly use gain and mids on my amp to push in that category when turning up loud.
my gain adds treble i think. i usually leave both gain channels gain settings on 5 actually - if not lower lol - and use volume to push it.
if you get a chance- make us a clip with the treble turned down some i'd be interested to hear it.
i'm just curious because i think i'd have to turn my treble up to like 8 or 9 to get that sound lol
try it on 5 if you would. with the presence way down lol

eh - listened to it again. maybe i just need to turn my trebles up a bit.
a little bit lol

here's one i posted that doesn't really sound muffled.
although the bass is up a bit too high and tweaks my computer speakers.
what i'm talking about though anyways.

Still muddy. Fuck computer speakers, that's stabbing in the dark, get yourself a pair of monitors so you can really hear what's happening under that mic. My hypothesis is that your computer speakers are hyping up the high end and you are overcompensating with the mic when you don't need to be.

Saw all the "Sounds great!" comments and had to go back and listen.

I have no idea what kind of gear you guys are listening to this clip on, but over here it sounds terrible. If it's not the amp, there is some terrible digital clipping happening.

Interesting how the human ear works.

Giving this a few more listens here at home thru the 7506's and it sounds DAMN GOOD.

What's the price and lead times on these?

I said sounds great so I guess I have to explain myself :D

It sounds like a good old Plexi ripping with a boost pedal, loose enough to give it that slight over the edge but still focused with good amounts of slice through the mix mids.

I think it sounds awesome

Good stuff dude. Love the correct tone of a driven Plexi.

Steve

Just to be clear here so no one misunderstands.. there are no boost pedals here. This is all amp with a footswitchable " gain boost" incorporated in the amp.

sorry man i didn't mean to be steppin on your toes or anything dude.
whatever.
no big deal.

i just thought we could maybe shoot clips back and fourth and compare you know. like free of egotistical influence and all that crap.

Knew that, just stating that it "sounds" like it

That sounds killer. I dont hear any of the high end stuff others are talking about, and I normally like a darker tone. Nice job..

I dig the tone, but I'd upload a wav file. I think the high end weirdness is a mp3 conversion thing.
