Funk guitar tones are probably as popular as chocolate onions around here.

But i just picked up an AC30 CCH and sure it does the old Stones/Petty Britt snarl as advertised.
The clean tones aren't often discussed and they are pretty amazing. Long live the funk!

Hoooo Braddah Braddah, given Im a Waialua Grad you know I can’t escape the funk hahaha..... my regular Wednesday night gig is prob 90% funk / R&B / dance stuff....

This one is a recent add and a slamma jamma



Telecaster into the clean channel on my 3rd Power Citizen Gain CSR 40 with a compressor up front is funk magic

i just moonwalked backwards out da door doing the robot to that jam!🤣

was surfing Ehukai 2 wks ago and stopped paalakai snow puffys and spicy shimp musubi🤙🏽
 
this tune isn’t so much funky as it is groovy



i’ve heard this guy’s name many times as an amp maker but never heard his playing before. great tones and tasty chops!

Todd is really cool. I've taken quite a few of my amps to his shop and he's always been great. I even asked him about how to go about doing some modding myself and he stopped what he was doing and wrote down a handful of tube amp building books to look for to help get me started. Good dude.

I had no idea he was that kind of player though. That's killer.

Funk blues is the roots of all funk, so that's funk in it's original, pure form. Funk isn't over the top outfits and meandering jam band style arrangements or disco infused crap. That's fluff to me.

Man I went on a big funk, rnb and Motown kick in the 90’s. My friends thought I was nuts but I liked it. Get on the scene…like a sex machine…..

Never really got into it, but have been listening to a lot recently trying to get inspired with different directions using that pedal Wayne sent me.
Interesting to hear the origination of a lot of stuff that I'm more familiar with as samples that were used in rap.
