Taken from HCAF.

So is this the real thing?

george lynch owned a real dirty boy - it was on legendary tone's website 4-5 years back.

it looked nothing like this. to me i think this is a complete rip-off. the variac is MUCH larger and more robust and the design of it is nothing like this one. the colors arent even the same. the dirty boy that george lynch owned was an army brown/green color.

i would say no. fake.

I saw 2 Dirty Boy's at Black Market Music in West L.A. about 5 years ago - it's been a long time, but I think the one's I saw looked like this. But probably only blues knows!

Buy one new from Mojave in conjunction with Alex saraceno. 3k

Yep, that looks original. I had one for a few days that I got from Black Market Music LA back in '99.

It wasn't my cup of tea but I could appreciate how it would be a useful tool for some.

Thanks Mike

Looks like the same styling as the one he used on the REH video. And I can't believe that anybody would go to the trouble to fake an amp that 99.999% of guitar players have never heard of, knew existed, or desired.

For my money, his pre-Dirty Boy marshall tone was better anyways. :D

yeah not many have heard about this amplifer. you'd think it would be a high gain beast by the name/looks but its the exact opposite.

then i wonder if lynches was a replica/fake if this is the real deal
