Giant acoustic foam blocks???

I've been looking for these things for a few years and haven't got the slightest luck. I've seen these in Metallica videos as far back as "year and a half...". Basically said they're 10in thick pieces of foam, but seem to be much much higher density to where it has some structural support.
Anyone seen something like these before, or where I might be able to find some?

In this pic it's just above James, also in the video there's a good example of the foam.

Thanks for any help.

Funny you should ask. . . I have 5 of those blocks I want to sell. I got them from Steve Millers studio here in Idaho. PM me if interested.

LukeCurd: whatcha mean by that (gobos)?

That's what metallica is using big blocks of foam for. The density and thickness determines which frequency's it will absorb. However I like to build popper gobo's that use Fiberglass for mids, 1 inch 1.7lb foam for highs and mdf 3/4 on the back side of the gobo to keep lows from bleeding. Fiberglass in a 50 gallon rubbermade makes a wonderful bass trap. Just stick em in the corners.
