As one who has limited solder skills, I like idea of easy swap pickups. They had this on a model about 10 years ago. Problem is, my interest in Gibson pickups is minimal...& I certainly don't want a Lick analyzer

I did read it as legit. Gibson has actually released worse ideas with more lunacy than this in the OP. And no, I don't read the small print in contracts when I am disinterested in the deal by the 2nd line. Way to take something funny and put a condescending spin on it to pump yourself up.
