So.
I've been trying different pickups lately for my new Silverburst and I've been using my Standard as a test dummy for my Custom.
Silverburst has stock 498t. I'm leaning towards a MCP Warcry, but I am still considering everything...
Today I decided to install a WB HELL bridge pickup into my Wine Red Standard Les Paul, and I tried it in a few different amps, but decided to shoot some short clips using the Mark V.
used 2 different guitars, I know, but to me, the standard sounded somewhat similar, bright and screechy, when it had a 498t in there as well...so I figured if it sounds good in there, it will sound great in the Custom.
I used 2 different modes on the Mark V, however, is sounds as if I had both modes dialed in a little too trebly.
1st is ch.3 Extreme
2nd is Ch.2 Crunch
Not sure the differences come across too well on the video, but they do sound totally different in person.
