When I'm messing around with the wires today, I accidently touched the bridge tone cap with my solder pencil, which melt a little bit of the shell, causing a dimp on the surface. I checked, and found that the dimp did not pass through the shell, and stays only on the surface. I rolled the tone back and the tone decreases as usual. My question is, although the dimp did not go through, will the heat affect the interior and causing damage?....Is the shell thick enough to protect the interior? Will it affect the sound of the pickup? (eg. affect the bass or treble) Thanks! I'm really worried about that! (My guitar is a R8 2010)

No, the shell is thick enough. With those 06-12 reissues will the absence of tone cap will be usually benefit because they are quite a muddy :)
