I'd rock that guitar just to piss people off.

I would just love to have an 8x10 glossy of "Bob Thavage" rocking the aforementioned guitar in order to piss people off...
+1
"BoB Thavage" :gay:

Speaking of which...

Where the heck is Mr. Thavage???

:hys:

He's working wood

Duh

The "Nashville Pride" text is horrible... otherwise the guitar would be kind of OK. Kind of... :poke:

This thread is thoroughly depressing, whether you like the guitar or not it's sad to see such attitudes in this day and age.

I agree. I Hate to see guys joking around and expressing their opinions
On a guitar forum.
You all should be ashamed you bunch of hooligans.

That guitar was used in the making of this video.

Not making fun......just throwing out facts.
Gibson will deny this. So no bother asking.

The only problem I have with some members of the gay community is how they define themselves by their sexuality.

Anyway... That guitar is bad and Gibson should feel bad.

And much of the music industry doesn't? :)

Why do you even care what someone defines themselves by?
Who's life are you living anyway.

Yeah, because the Kotzen concert I attended recently was HIGHLY defined by sexuality. Maybe you think it's cool to be a one-dimensional person, but I don't like being around boring people. In other words, "bite me."

No thanks.
Although I respect you, I don't swim on that side of the pool. :)

You might be that boring, I don't know.
But your one dimensional labeling could be a hint.

Do you mean that famous "brown" sound?

It seems I have struck a chord. Based on your logic, you are projecting your own issues with your parents by accusing me of trying to live other people's lives.

Sounds like common sense to me.
But the way the guy on the left is eye ballin that guy in the right seems a little odd.
Maybe he just wants to have a Fag too.
Nothing wrong with a couple of guys dressed in suits...whipping them out for a good suck on a fag.
Sounds refreshing. But I am not a smoker so I decline.

Just seems to be Gibson marketing at it again. Just another in a long line of fails IMO. I've not wanted a new Gibson in many years, remember the reverse V? And then making guitars without rosewood or ebony boards for the same price (thanks to the US Gov, but still). IMO

That said, I did like that Zoot Suit SG, but not enough to buy one.

My only "Gibsons" these days are a Steinberger Synapse and a limited edition (not inspired by) Epiphone John Lennon 1965 Casino (https://www.musiciansfriend.com/guitars/ ... ric-guitar) which was the closest thing to a new 1965 Casino I could find at the time; has period correct body wood and layers and head angle. etc. Build quality was better than I expected. Wish I still had my original Steinberger guitar from back in the day, still have my XL2 bass :) Really wish Gibson would do more with Steinberger...

You just expanded my mind.

I've absolutely hated the zoot suit models ever since I saw them, I thought that they were the most hideous guitars I'd ever seen. After reading your post, I went to Gibson's website, and they actually look pretty cool. I had only seen the rainbow finish before(which I still think is hideous), but the others actually look pretty cool. Red, the black natural...

See :)

I dig the rainbow zoot suit, just because it was over the top, go big or go home :D

The black natural was my second choice.

Now, if you had said you dig Steinbergers we could be BFF

j/k

We are good from my perspective (I tried to use the View more smilies but it did not work?! )

I'd hit that. at least three times, both of them.

One of the Gibbys I really liked was the first run Angus Young SG.
They were killer.
