I wonder what weight that is? Badass guitar!

I was looking forward to this but I think I’d rather have a dark knight…I like my fret nibs!

It's a Les Paul Modern with a different finish, knobs, rings, and pickups, with a weak top (at least in the website promo pic).

Guess I'm not sure what I was expecting. Maybe the Modern just happens to be pretty much exactly what he wanted.

Yeah the top with satin finish is pretty underwhelming, though I'm sure some examples will be better than others. I was expecting this to be more expensive though (not saying it's cheap!)

It’s ok. Personally I think it’d be a lot cooler if it was based around the R9 with 36th anniversary dimarzios like the ones he used on tour a few years back.

I feel like it was pretty lazy, but it's his signature guitar so if it works for him, that's all that matters. I really dislike the chrome pickup covers, I think that's my biggest gripe with the overall aesthetic.

Yeah, the chrome pickup rings would have to go black, and black speed knobs would like nicer. I think it's cool, the satin neck would be nice and smooth.

My gripe with the specs would be not using jumbo frets. The current Gibson frets are too small for me. This guitar should have jumbos. My opinion.

I’m definitely anxious to play one. I was hoping he’d get a Custom sig but his goldtop standard has been his main recording guitar for a long ass time, so it’s not too surprising.

I haven’t actually played a Modern yet but I’m not opposed to it, while the lack of comfort has been part of the appeal of playing LP’s to me, I’ve definitely gotten frustrated going for shit above the 15th fret and don’t find that neck joint to be too egregious of a change. Kinda like Ibanez going from the OG neck joint to the AANJ.

I think even his Jackson used smaller frets.

I do wish Gibson would at least release batches of guitars with true jumbo frets (tall and wide). Seems like low hanging fruit.

Womp womp.

I haven't listened to LoG in years now.

Not a fan of the tone in the video and the guitar is boring.

Looks like it could be an Epiphone release.

The binding has that white plastic I hate. Makes it look cheap.
