Gibson SG Zoot Suit?!

This guitar is pretty interesting. It's got pretty standard features for the most part, BUT, the body and neck are both made of Birch laminates, each dyed a different color. It looks pretty rad, but its made of Birch!! I've never heard of birch being used as a body or neck wood before, but I can't see this guitar sounding like anything but shitee!

Not sure about the Zoot Suit reference, but I can see a Jefferson Airplane vibe. Kind of cool.

All i know is I love SG'S there my favorite guitar been playing the same one for 15 years and these look really interesting but I honestly dont know about the tone of them . I'll have to check it out got a local music store near me that deals with gibson and has alot of very nice ones I'll have to see when and if there getting one or not .

Hahaha, exactly! I dig the look of the thing, but it really is made of Birch laminates, which i'm pretty sure is a good way to say plywood!
