Man you've got the ultimate tribute gig! Love your band!!

I haven't been around much but see you went from the Xitone cabs to the Friedman. Can you share your thoughts and differences in feel and tone? Also, the same question regarding the AX8 to the III?

Killer playing as usual man!...and a LOUD and clear guitar mix thru FOH, perfect!
Thanks for the kind words man. I have an absolute blast playing with these guys and playing this music. We all do.

I still have the XiTones. I use them for smaller shows just because they have a smaller footprint than the Friedman's. They both sound fantastic to me and I don't change anything in my setup when I use one or the other.

Definitely an improvement in tone and feel in the Axe-Fx III over the AX8. And it gets better and better with each update. I will continue to use my AX8 for smaller shows and out of town shows and use the III for bigger shows. Not gonna lie though, I hate lugging around a rack case and a pedalboard for the FC-12 now. I've been spoiled the last 3 years gigging with just the AX8. Soon as the AX8 II or whatever it will be called is released I'm on it.

dang't you guys are just bad ass! killer player...

curious...was your singer coming off a cold, or (seasonal) allergies by chance?
Yes he was actually. Allergies.

ah...still sounds phenomenal. singing with a cold or allergies...not easy to do.

Todd's FOH tone is what made me move to the Fractal stuff! The Axe III is awesome! Seriously....they should comp you in some way for being such a great representation of the products !

Well done as always!!!!

Sounds amazing!! Did you use to gig with an AX8? I'm considering taking the plunge. I know the III is better than the AX8, but I'm curious to hear your thoughts on the 8.

Killer tones and killer playing. Your singer really nails it too, looks and sounds just like Ozzy.

Yes, I've gigged with the AX8 for the last 3 years. Absolutely love it. I will continue to use my AX8 for the majority of the time. Especially for our out of town shows. But for bigger shows I will probably use my III. I hate having to lug a rack case around now though along with a pedalboard for the FC-12. The AX8 has spoiled me. As soon as the AX8 II or whatever it will be called is released I'm on it.

Sounded great! And I love the white strat. Is it a Charvel?

Yes. It’s a So Cal that originally had a maple neck but I swapped it for a rosewood Charvel neck I had to make it look more like Jake’s Charvel.

sounds killer man!!!!!
Nice to hear a cover band that doesn't suck.

Do you learn these leads by ear or do you have a favorite site for getting the tabs?
I always have to search several places to find what I'm after and then I still have to listen closely to make sure its correct.

I still have all the tab books from when I was a kid for pretty much all the Ozzy and Sabbath we do. For the stuff I don’t, mainly the later era Ozzy and some Sabbath, I use an app called Ultimate Guitar to get the basics of the song and then use my ear to fine tune it.

Sounds great. What with the Marshall behind you?
That was the next band’s guitar rig. We were the opening act. It was a triple bill co headlining show. Ozzy, Van Halen and AC/DC tributes. It was a 35 anniversary show to the 1984 Monsters of Rock.

Your playing was awesome! Are you using the stock IR's on the AxeIII?

Dude that sounded KILLER! Soundguy had you guys really well dialed in! Axe sounds righteous.
