Greg Platzer at BCR Music in PA came highly recommended for the task and has been so kind as to take on the repair of my Gil Yaron 59 Replica after last week's shipping wreck. I've never seen this done before and Greg has set up a thread on the MLP Forum. He will be posting pictures along the way and may take up to 2 months.

Good luck with it, Steve. I feel your pain, and I hope the Greg brings the LP back to life!

Thanks; love the build/repair threads over there. He's gonna bomb on it.

Best wishes that this comes out fantastic in the end, given the circumstances.

I'll just post a couple pics that Greg took to show everyone where it begins....

that second shot is a doozy...got me all worked up about the safety of my historics

Good luck, Steve! I'll be following the threads here and on MLP.

I still just can't believe this.

Yeah, it leaves me with a sickening feeling in my gut and a bad taste in my mouth.

Every time I think about it-especially when I see a picture of the damage, my stomach gets all knotted up. It isn't mine, I'll never play it but I don't know, just so sickeningly painful.

I'm still angry at whoever packed it (fail)

I'm pretty sure it was the seeing eye dog that packed it.

That is why you won't die young of a heart attack... Most people would still be flipping their shit.

There is now way you should be on the hook for this! I sure hope the builder is making this right!

GY shipping clerk ... ^^^^

If nothing else Steve you can be a source of support for those going thru the same thing and be in the running for thread of the year.

Did I misinterpret, I thought someone in that thread say GY was stopping making LPs? Did that just mean for this particular "run"?

Sorry, I would have fought Gil tooth and nail for a full refund or a new guitar. This is 10000000% his fault based on the shitty packing job.
