Always seemed like a class act to me. Trace has helped me out a few times. I have a Voodoo modded Egnater EG3 module landing tomorrow so maybe I will have more to say then.

Anything, everything, lay it on me.

I heard they mod Marshalls...  I know that much... ya I know, Ill shut up now and let someone that knows the real deal explain.

Build quality = TOP NOTCH
custom service = Can't be beaten
Knowledge of amps, tubes, etc = off the freaking charts

You can't go wrong with Voodoo period.

The one amp I regret selling was my Hex modded 2204. Absolutely incredible amp.

My DSL w/Voodoo Deluxe mod has been my #1 for over 5 years. I've had 2 modded JMP-1 preamps, a modded 5150, a 4x12 and an oversized 2x12...all were awesome. I just bought a Dual Lead V-Rock and it's great. I can't say enough good things about them. The fact they are great guys and give great customer service just adds to the reasons you should check them out.

I dont know been trying to post for an answer in their forum, nobody seems to care...

You would be better off calling direct. They get really busy at times and probably can't free up the time to look at the computer.

I have a 1987x with the Jose HG Mod and it has been my main gigging amp for close to three years. I play in an 80's metal cover band and the amp nails all of those tones with ease. It will also do classic rock to borderline brutal as well.
My recording gear is less than ideal but here are two clips of the amp into an Avatar Premier Vintage 2x12 with one Hellatone 60 and one Hellatone 30.

YEP!! Trace is such a great guy, he really cares about making sure you're happy!

Wow! This is great news! I'm surprised that I haven't heard more about these guys until now. Maybe selective hearing? Always a possibility. Thanks for the info.

Trace is excellent and willing to talk to you at length which is rare these days with Marshall modders. Had a plexi with the HG Jose mod that I sold and regret. You cant wrong with any of his mods.

THIS. Plus I have a hex modded Marshall JMP 2204 that sounds freakin righteous and I won't get rid of it ever.

I have probably emailed Trace 5 or 6 times in the last few years about mods and amps and haven't spent anything there. Sort of feel bad about it because he will generally take the time to write you a lengthy email back. Not just a one-liner, but answer everything thoroughly. They got a great website too. Bad ass and a lot of info. I wouldn't hesitate having them do an amp.

Steve

Trace worked on my JCM800 and did a hell of a job. He is a class act who would rather tell you that he can't help you than sell you something you don't want or need. I would do it again in a heartbeat..
