Given that Charvels are better than Fenders.........

A lot of the "Charvel magic" is just hype. I say that, and the only guitar I own that isn't a parts mutt is a Charvel.

Good feeling necks, the rest is available elsewhere.

Love my Charvel, but it's not a Fender and a Fender is not a Charvel.
Besides, BC Rich makes the best guitars anyways.
FMIC should just close up shop.

Have you ever played a Les Paul? The only real guitar ever made.
I always tell people, as I know you think the same way...to just play for feel and enjoyment of the instrument. I have played some badass sounding Les Pauls but the shorter scale neck (especially standing playing) just feel too short to me. I am tall, and have long arms. I always dreamed of a huge Les Paul, like a ES335 but longer scale. I like Jazz Bazz scales.

If I switch from my tele to my paul it feels that wierd, especially because there is no tilt to the tele neck.

But, for a while I only played my paul, then the tele felt long. It's hard to switch back and forth and get used to one scale length.

I mean, i'm gigantic and I love the shorter les paul scale. Especially for rhythm, it just hits right for me.

But everyone is going to have different feelies with different guitars. I love the way SGs look, but they feel awkward for me to play standing up - same with a firebird.

What you need is a Buckethead LP

Yeah it's personal preference. I am taller than you and would beat you in a game of 21 right now (check ball on score) but in any case. I like the bigger guitars. SG's feel too small, agreed.
