Interior Secretary Doug Burgum confirmed on Wednesday that the United States recently brought back $100 million worth of gold from Venezuela.

The disclosure arrived alongside a damning characterisation of American actions in the country, an invasion, the kidnapping of Venezuela's leader, the installation of a puppet government, and the pillaging of the nation's resources.

Burgum drew a direct historical comparison to fascist regimes of the 1930s, and warned that the gravity of what has occurred is already being dangerously normalised.

Exactly... This is fucked up on so many levels! We don't have a right to do this as this makes us look as bad as the countries we go into !

I've been to Texas, but I ain't from there. We played at Aztec Music Hall in Amarillo and Canyon Amphitheatre in Lubbock.

It's NOW official...Trump is a liar and a common thief. Who gave him the right for this shit.

President Trump said his “preference” would be for Washington to fully control Tehran’s oil industry and exports, as it did in Venezuela following a military raid in January.

Following the US military raid on Venezuela that kidnapped President Nicolas Maduro and installed a friendlier government in Caracas, Trump vowed to control the country’s oil industry “indefinitely.”

Washington has imposed control over Venezuelan crude exports, with proceeds deposited into restricted US Treasury-run accounts rather than going directly to the Venezuelan state. The country’s interim president, Delcy Rodriguez, has also agreed to sell some $100 million worth of physical gold to the US, with the proceeds similarly controlled by Washington.
