Going back to a Multi FX floorboard

AX8 is my new gas and hopefully will have one soon.

Having gone back and forth between the GT-10 and discrete pedals, I've found that for what I need, the GT delays, EQ, pitch & choruses are just fine and having them assignable in the GT-10 makes them much more usable and convenient. Now as far as the distortions and amp sims...not so much.

I just went back to my TC G-System that had been collecting dust for a couple years. It's definitely nice not having to tap dance anymore. Just wish there was still a working software editor for it.

Get a looper keep your pedals

The Boss Es-8?
Or for a more Flexible switcher, a Gigrig G2

I have been looking at one. You can also get an extension for a couple hundred bucks more and mount your pedals in a rack. They have set ups for multiple amps, w/d, w/d/w etc.

I'm using the Boss 100, I didnt care for the gt10, the cocked wah sound in the preamps drove me nuts. shouldnt have to use 2 EQ blocks to fix a preamp sound.

I use a Boss GT-100 as an MFX or digital modeler. I have several modelers and MFX, mostly Boss (GT-100, GP-10, SY-300, GT-001) and TCE (Nova System, G-System, TCH VoiceLive 3). I use a Zoom B1on for bass. Also, have a work in process pedalboard with all TCE pedals (and Dunlap crybaby)

After doing this switch a few times I think I've come to terms with the fact I'm a pedal guy. I like the ability to change things on the fly. Definitely no tap dancing here. I have a Musicomlabs pedal switcher on one board and an Octawsitch on another. I like the Octa a bit better because I like the dip switch design, giving you the ability to take loops/pedals in and out on the fly. I also think the buffer sounds a little better.

Pedals, like tubes, are just cooler.

U need a Towel ... ;)

Get an AX8, Hook it up 4CM, and sell all your pedals.

I did, bought the AX8 and the FX8 but just couldnt do it. Sold them off
Will probably try again at some point

Boss ES-8 is pretty cool to use

Im using the gt-10 4cm and its working pretty well. Trying to controller a voodoo labs control switcher to channel switch thr JSX.

I think i need to get the levels set a little better as far as send and return to the fx loop. Its close, but not quite right. I dont think a different processor is going to change this.

I'd recommend the ES-8 as well if you like your pedals. I went pretty much full Source Audio board and use their Hub and controller. All their mod pedals (phaser, chorus and flanger) can load each others sounds. The pedals each hold 6 presets and with the Hub you can store 128.

Thats a nice setup...I have to look into something like that.

I have an AX8 and Helix. They have great effects but I have a bunch of pedals too. You just can't duplicate some pedals. A good example are boost pedals. I love my Sparks and my TS808. I also really really like my ISP Decimator and Electro Harmonix Cathedral reverb.
