Good luck Scotty. Remember, light touch with the Yngwie. That was the hardest thing for me with that guitar. I play fenders like i'm strangling the anit-Christ.

LOVED IT!!!!!!!

Holy crap I loved the neck, I thought I would be missing strings everywhere but you dont for some reason. Hard C shape and way comfy and yeah vibratos and bends are just so easy. I was going way sharp at first with bends and ripped the high E off the board several times, going over the fretboard is the only thing that I would have to work on.

I have an old MIM strat and that sucker will get a scalloped neck and Yngwie pickguard loaded

Deluxe Strat or Tele = +450
Vintage HR strat = +600!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I could have stuffed 2-3 business cards into each side of the neck pocket it was that bad, never saw a $1500 guitar with that bad of a neck fit in my life. Anyone in CT can go to the Sam Ash in New Haven to see this btw.

After Feb 1st you need to dish out $300 more for that. Sam Ash had the list sitting there telling you to buy now.

I was thinking about picking up another Tele in late January just because of it...lol. Nothing like a price increase to "force" your hand into a purchase.

I was expecting some vids/clips. Scott, that neck pocket thingie is a common "thing" on YJM strats. I dunno if it's the same with other Fender Strats. My local shop has always few CS Strats lying around but they've never had an YJM Strat, AFAIK.

I've never tried a Yngwie strat. Glad you liked it. I don't why they want to increase price in this economy...

Note to self: This is why I buy used. I'm still digging my EJ strats though, both purchased used and likely together for less than one new EJ strat after the price increase.

Problem for me is, I've other guitars on order and have a higher priority purchase I'm saving for right now (set of FRFR active cabs for example), but $300 is hard to ignore.

Need to find out if there are other price increases on the way for these other products and from other manufacturers ... ?

Fender may be a a bigger joke than Gibson when it comes to the pricing of their guitars. The fit and finish dont warrant close to what they ask on anything.... Let the prices go up, I laugh at all the suckers who buy into drink the brand name koolaid..
