I realize that a lot of metal-heads have a fairly narrow scope of what they like.
But there are also quite a few who are open-minded to like other styles.

I'd always imagined it as a symbolic look at a woman struggling to cope with excess substance abuse while trying to survive the pressures of the music industry. What made me think of a more up-tempo arrangement was both "Gold Dust" representing cocaine, and how frantic the music biz can be.
I apprciate the talent, but I do not feel the music works with the lyrics. It's almost like two completely different songs being palyed simultaneously.
