Golden Wah of the Gods. Fulltone Clyde Deluxe.

I had an original Clyde when Fulltone was still a boutique brand, it was a great wah. I wore it out and then sent it in for service. Didn't hear back for about a month. Called in, no answer, left a nice message. No response. Waited two weeks, called in, no answer, left a nice message. Waited another two weeks, called in, no answer, left an angry message about it being two months with no reply. Within one minute Mike called me back and yelled at me that I needed a return authorization #. I told him I bought it before he was a guitar center hero and there was no mention of that in his literature, and that I liked the pedal and just wanted it fixed. He calmed down and I got the pedal back in a couple weeks.

I would rather buy the Vox Clyde McCoy handwired for less money but I quit using wah-wahs (and fulltone). Even the basic Vox is on par, it just lacks that tiny extra bit of sweep range. So on the powdercoated gold fake neo soul pimp edition that's a no from me dawg.

I thought this post would be like "Oh yeah boooyyyzz gotta get that Neo GOLD going on with my PRS" LOL

Man, that sucks. I heard Mike could be a bit spotty to deal with. I grabbed mine used from MusciGoRound or something of the like when the shut down in Cali was announced.

The thing was unused. I guess the guy just had it sitting aorund, got dust in the cap, and it got scratchy, so they sold it.

Opened it up, cleaned it, and good to go.

I will never own any HK product after dealing with how trash they treated me. that being said - they don't have anything I like the sound of anyway so.... good to go!

Spotty is kind of putting it nicely. Water under the bridge for the most part but the end result was I sold all my Fulltone stuff cause I didn't want to have to deal with that kind of treatment down the line if my stuff needed serviced.

Good on you! Don't deal w that BS.

Hello all,

Just saw this in my inbox. I love my Clyde Deluxe wah.

Fulltone is releasing a limited run in Gold.

Only 300 being made and they are the normal price - although that is $350....

For any of you RT pimps, here is your chance to have that sweet Golden wah your board has been missing.

Fulltone's Clyde Deluxe is the best wah of all time, and it isn't particularly close

I mean, unless you're an optical guy, but that's almost a different kind of pedal

Mine is one of the old ones from the Cali factory.

Love it, another wah hasn't gotten close.

I noticed it is not set to the factory standard w the internal trim, and I like it that way.

I wonder if the ones Jackson are doing sound the same.

I would think so. You would think they would just clone the exact pedal and exact parts.

I am good with my old standard black one.

That gold is funky fresh tho......

Same, I have an original cali one.

I haven't played one of the jacksons, yet, but hopefully they are good - in case mine ever breaks

As far as Wah pedals are concerned, I never thought the Fulltone was any good, to be honest.
Trower’s sounds horrible. No “throat” to it. All annoying high end.

I thought the basic Vox had plenty of throatiness for the $.

I need to get one to go with my gold phaser.

I’ve had a Clyde Deluxe for a long time. I do like it but I just don’t instinctively step on a wah very much. Wah is one of those things where I really like hearing people use it well but it doesn’t do much for me when I use it my self. 🤷‍♂️
