Hope this isn't true, but I heard from a very good source that Friedman is having issues with Phil X & may be discontinuing the amp & possibly re-introducing it with a different name.

Man I know that feeling. All night they would use Thrash or the like for their promo titles, cuts to interviews or commercial but hardly ever actually play a Thrash or Speed metal band's video. Actually playing nothing that was "headbangable"

I got to play a Phil X while visiting Sweetwater a while back and didn't care for it at all. Didn't sound at all like an amp I thought he would use. Thick and dark and not all that nice or classic a top end when you got the treble and presence up. All the other Friedman's I've played were so much more to my liking.

Man what are you talking about. Phil always has been the best about showing up and doing whatever we ask etc.. never a issue. EGNATER has never made our amps. Boutique Amps Distribution who are our partners in sales, manufacturing and Distibution do own a part of Egnater. How this clears things up. There is a official Phill video coming within a month so hang on..

Whatever DUDE. This is the same source that told me long before it was made public that Friedman amps were being built by Egnater. Rob 100% refuted that in his post yesterday & then Dave said actually they're made by a company that owns/affilaited Egnater. Isn't that the pretty much same thing? Didn't Rob just say it wasn't true?

Is my source wrong? Maybe. Can Friedman be in damage control mode. Maybe. At this point, just let it be. It's pointless.
