Yes, I do use the isolated out from the Humdinger and it really helps. If you get close to the amp you still get it the high pitch tone, but it's much better. The Suhr PT100 also has this issue and none of my other amps do it. The PT100 sounds great, but it's really annoying when you use a boost or OD pedal especially on channel 2, I have to stand far from the amp when turning the master from 3 to 6 or higher. I contact the company a couple of months after I bough the amp and they weren't very helpful. They suggested changing the preamp tube, but I knew it wouldn't help but tried it anyway. It kind of sucks because the amp sounds amazing.

Thanks, I'm going to try it. So far I only have had the issue with my 68 plexi but not with any high gain multi-channel amps.

So many people complaining about Fryette customer service being horrible. Some named Steve. So much so they would not buy their products. Maybe it was a different Steve because I had a great experience with him also. Talked to him on the phone also. He took care of my amp in one day and shipped it back.

I've also had nothing but a great experience with Steve. He's a great guy!

Because of this pic, I decided to order the rackmount kit
Mine is sitting on top of another rack unit but this looks much better.

Nice Rack! You can find amazing deals on the Lexicon PCM ,70,80,90 and Eventide Harmonizers on ebay these days! Amazing stuff!

I had to give up the frig racks for live and settled with an Axe FX 2 because of my back. In my studio I have a guitar rack put is mostly filled with parametric eq's like a TC2240 2 Furman PQ3, an MW1 DI and re amp box, and RJM Gizmo for my pedals. So I record my guitars dry and add the fxs when mixing.

This one isn't moving, it stays in my studio :-)
For gigs, I'm using a GForce :-)

Quick delivery from GuitarGuitar in the UK, this looks much better!

This is good to know that they are updating this. A while ago I had posted on the gear page that there was a noticeable difference in tone and gain when playing my metro 12000 series through it. I was basically told that i was delusional by some fryette fanboys and that there is no way that the power station could change the tone of my amp. Although it works perfectly with my high gain heads it definitely takes something away from the plexi in terms of top end and gain. Hopefully the update fixes this.

Never had anything but awesome customer service from Stevie...going all the way back to the 90s and his VHT days.

Are you planning to try out the new version?

I remember reading of some issues people had with the power station 1, but as you said they were drowned out by the fanboys. I appreciate both good and bad reviews when deciding to purchase a product. I plan to run the power station with a vintage AC50. I sure hope it doesn't change the tone in a negative way on that amp.

I had immediate email's replied to regarding buying a PS. Questions about my Sig X and my D60. Maybe it was during the NAMM rush that he had less than immediate communications. I mean I feel for him. Most think that guys like Steve are sitting at the computer like said person, is just waiting to answer questions the second the send button is pushed. He's running a business and designing stuff. Just my 2 cents!

New Power Station 2 announce on Facebook, looks like some nice new features, like the balanced Direct out. https://www.facebook.com/FryetteAmps/

Good luck with that...

STILL WAITING ON THE GPDI... :gethim:

Part of the reason I sold my PS. The GPDI thing and them ignoring my emails. I just don't trust or respect that company.

Always worried if it broke Fryette would be of no help.

There was a whole thread about the GPDI mess today , but it's been pulled down...

That sucks. Would have been nice to finally confirm if what I think the acronym means is correct.

It's a low powered recording amp/DI from what I gather...3 years in the making
