I have decided to scrap my rack idea and go with a pedalboard. I want to still be able to have presets though. What is the best/most cost/space efficient piece for doing so?

Thanks

not sure 100%, but loopmaster comes to mind. The CAE/MXR unit looks nice, but I believe they are all custom and a nice chunk of $ even though I saw one in a store. road-rage also comes to mind as does voodoo lab. I dont know the pros and cons of them though but should get you started.

Also someone on this forum had a link to a company in their signature. I cant remember who it was but there stuff looked nice too. I believe the background of the site was green.

I do know the voodoo lab stuff is midi controlled so you can actually get the pedalboard loops controlled by midi.

Carl Martin also makes the octaswitcher

I'm currently in a similar situation with making a "B" rig. Size is the priority here. I am thinking about going with a Peak midi controller http://www.peak2005.com/j/midi-foot-con ... ver20.html
This may seem a bit odd but I think I am going with a GCX switcher and mounting it to the bottom of a pedalboard (i.e. under a pedaltrain) with the Peak on top with the pedals. I think it will be the most compact midi looper board possible.

What will be on your pedal board?

MusicomLab EFX MK III
TKI Loopholic
Carl Martin Octaswitch
LoopMaster (w/ Master bypass switch)

The MusicomLab stuff if you want to spend a good bit, G-Lab stuff too. On the cheap, the Voodoo Labs stuff maybe?

I went with a GigRig MIDI-14. It's pricey but I'm glad I finally bought it. It can control MIDI gear too hence the name, so is very versatile. Awesome piece of kit!

axess mfc5's and grx4's, or the mini effect gizmo from rjm.
