Those of you that like the blue channel of a 5150 or a Bogner 101B will really like the blue channel on the TC.

I would agree the TC50 has a nice volume tapper ... It does well at low volumes , def better than say a recto .

That is encouraging...

Mine came in had it running side by side with my other amps, C+ jp+ Etc im very happy with this amp and its staying, I agree its an awesome gigging amp It has this ease of playing thing i love, Im leaving el 34's in it. Cranked through a Mesa cab it has more then enough balls for me, Also i love how it stays perfect in the guitar freq spectrum and cuts, Nice harmonic Saturation, For me playing low tuned stuff i loved how it sat nice in the mids. Clean sound is sick.

Knocked it out of the park

Would be very interested in your comparative thoughts on the TC vs the JP...Thanks.

I played on it yesterday again for about a hour with a few guitars and a 2x12 vertical MESA cab. I think I preferred the horizontal. At first my preference was to have the tight off. After messing around with it more I like both about the same. I don't think it sounds like any of the other MESA amps.... But has some similarities.

How do you guys think this will sound through an Orange PPC412 cab? I haven't had a chance to try one out but I see everyone here so far has mixed opinions on the amp. How would the blue and red channel be for thrash metal tones compared to a Mark V, crunch and MK IV mode? I like the idea that this is a different flavor of Mesa but what kind of different flavor would you describe it as? Is it like a Marshal vibe etc?

All the clips I've heard sound kinda meh. Doesn't sound bad. But I agree... kinda flavorless, like In-N-Out...

That made no sense. In N Out is one of the best tasting burgers in the country.

False. In n Out is complete garbage

The burger itself is ok. But the patty is thin and lifeless. The fries are like styrofoam.

For a crappy fast-food burger, I much prefer 5 Guys. Everyone here in CA who loves In N Out, I've discovered, has actually never been to any other good burger places outside of California. Because you all live in a little bubble :D When I first got here all my CA friends were like, "OMG, hella, you gotta go to like in n out? Dude hella like? Surfs up brah? Do you like burgers? Hella cool!?" I went and tried it and it's disgusting. Notice there's no question mark at the end of my sentence because it's a declarative statement and I don't up talk.

Some of the steamed burgers in CT are amazing. That's where the cheeseburger was invented, btw. New Haven, CT. Along with the best pizza in the country.

(Also, I'm just busting your balls. Please don't flip out. Brah?)

I don't know who you are hanging out with, But I'm born and raised Southern CA. native and surfed all my life since I was 5 and have never said brah or hella   Neither have my fiends. I don't think these dudes you're friends with are from here that are saying that crap.....Or they're inland wannabe spongers.
Oh yeah....I like In N Out and Mesa Amps...both CA natives as well.

A little sag on normal mode?

I also tried a TC-50 today and got to AB it with the JP2C, and thought the JP2C absolutely destroyed it! Sounded way bigger, tighter, more articulate (even without the shred engaged), and aggressive. I also don't get why Mesa says it's the highest gain amp they've ever made. The mark iii's and iic++'s have way way more gain and saturation and I remember the mark v having at least as much gain also on the mark iv mode

I liked the JP better too

I love it when sales kids think they know more than you try to show you how stuff is done. When in reality those kids should probably be asking US questions.
Listened to demos of this for the first time today by coincidence. Liked the high gain down tuned demo I heard but not enough to get me excited.
