But in all fairness you have so much to laugh about...

(I'm probably not going to get my mail anymore now  )
Nah My Man.....I texted the Pony Express....your safe. You will get mail tomorrow.
Fuck it.....dont sweat the small stuff........(and its ALL SMALL STUFF!) right? ;)
I love that saying! I wake up.....roll out of bed...still alive...Its a GOOD DAY!

I always say don't sweat the petty things, and don't pet the sweaty things....

Its a fun rig. Just not a way I want to go. I had the Ultra and tried the II. Sold the Ultra to get a Mark V. Tried the Axe II with my cab and VHT2502. Alright but I wouldn't say its a tube amp sound. I could work with it though.

I am not a fan at all of frfr sound. Guitar cabs don't hiss like bass amps with Piezo horns. My buddy decided to test his Axe II against my Mark V. I took that bet. Mark V and 412 Mill cab vs his Axe II and frfr wedge monitor.
Lo frigging L. AxeFX has some brilliant effects but even those tone mated models are just digital sounding still too much for me to toss my amps. I just don't get the whole movement yet. It's cool, but it is still NOT a tube amp. Kemper is pretty slick too. Neither are my thing enough yet. What's really funny to me is all these expenses for modelers and the users all say its the best and have to buy more and more shit to make it sound like an amp. Then another one comes out and its the more real than the last one. Which is it? To me, that is what keeps me out of the flurry.

This has been a great thread... Pardoning the shitslinging midstream

I think I'll manage to good amp/cab sound with the FRFR set up. I'm banking on it. If not :dunno: So it goes, can't blame me for trying.

Fun read guys! But please do not believe all this freaking hyper, hyper. Believe it or not but there are more Mitchels in this world who even design better Transducers. BTW why does no one asks Which speaker is used here? It looks like an ancient Celestion.

And to Mo: keep us updated and please be honest if it does not work for ya!

The Axe II is a great tool. I sold mine because it just wasn't for me: ultimately, it comes down to which gear keeps you coming back for more and makes you want to play. For me, no matter how convincing the Axe II was it didn't produce the feeling of flipping the switch on my Herbert or 20th XTC. Just doesn't have the same vibe at all.

My 2p.

The "hyper" here is you, DADA.

BTW why does no one asks Which speaker is used here?
In case anyone is interested, here's the answer: there are two transducers - one 12" woofer, one 1" exit HF compression driver - in the CLR. They are both Atomic-specific parts and are not available to you via other sources. What matters is that they are in compliance with the specifications I wrote for them at the beginning of the process and that the system into which I engineered them performs as we say it does.

It looks like an ancient Celestion.
I find it interesting that you would say that. Having never seen either of them (there is no "it," there are two), you have no idea how they look. I find it even more interesting that only you and another shill who goes by "eadgbe" on the FAS forum have speculated about this subject and that you both used exactly the same words to describe your speculations. Sorta like the two of you are conspiring to cast as much doubt as you can on a competitor's product....

And to Mo: keep us updated and please be honest if it does not work for ya!
Although I encourage him to be honest in his assessment, I'll point out that MO is trying to get the Axe-Fx to work for him (so far it isn't) and that he's got CLRs coming in a final attempt to get there. The real question regards the Axe-Fx, and the CLRs are just supporting cast. I will also say that you are not at all sincere in your remark and that you will be sorely disappointed if the Axe-Fx/CLR rig does work out for him.. What you want is not "honesty," it's anything negative you can find to use in pursuit of your shillin' agenda. Why do you not disclose to everyone here that you are a shill for an Atomic competitor? That would place your remarks in the proper light.

DADA- you sound like a serious Bunny Boiler...

Suggestion to MO for use with your CLRs: try the three farfield IRs in the AFX. They are the 1x12 Open, 2x12 G12H, and 2x12 Gold. Those are the only three that aren't close-mic'ed, and there's no "room sound" in any of them.

Hey, I'm not a crackhead.
I dont know you....but seems some argument has been going on with you and a few members for a minute or 2... ;)

But KUDOS TO YOU for laughing at yourself on this!
I am the 1st one to laugh at myself. All in good fun. And man that pic was funny.

Wonder if I can make one of myself. :D

He wasn't so humble the last time I did it and that one wasn't even with the penis head. It was just with his head really huge to represent how big of a brain he thinks he has. He threw a hissy fit on TGP and sent me a threatening PM. Glad to see he's developed a better sense of humor since then.

Send me a pic and I can dickhead you up as well. :D

We all know how artists like yourself project your self-image onto the images you create and/or alter.

Why not post a photo of yourself? Just so we know where you're coming from, mind you....

Coming from someone like yourself with zero artistic talent I'd say your hypothesis is quite a bit off the mark. Art mimics, mirrors, satires real life and you are a real fucking dickhead of the highest order hence the pic is holding up a mirror to that fact. I personally thought the smoke coming from the speaker was the best detail.

I know it's pain to not have mods to go cry to.

"Ejecta," whoever/whatever you are, you appear to have significant issues that are only being made more acute by your participation in online forums. Maybe a break is in order....

Potentially, but I do plan on locking myself into my sesh space and seriously getting busy with this new setup.

I'm always honest. And I'm actually going into this with the mindset that it WILL workout. Furthermore, regardless of it does or doesn't, it will only be my opinion and based on my personal wants, needs and expectations - which, being personal - are not set in stone and concrete evidence of the merits and inherent success that could be achieved by someone else with the same set up. So we'll see - ultimately, this is about tone (first) and playability/flexibility (second). Also bear in mind it was the launch of the CLRs (and Atomic on the whole) that made me decide to do this. I wasn't interested when it was RCF or Mackie or QSC or the like - as I saw the marriage of 2 technical domains that to me, just didn't have a vibe. With Atomic, I feel a vibe (see? that's that personal subjective stuff that is what it is...).

Yes and no. I don't think I've been properly or effectively equipped to have the Axe work to its fullest capabilities to date; and much of these extended capabilities and operations I am leaving in the capable hands of the incoming CLRs. I could have started this process with QSCs or Mackies or the like, but I have faith in the Atomic product. It won't be a fault of the CLRs if the Axe can't get me where I'm going - it will simply be the Axe and/or user ignorance. I know what I'm looking for. And the good news is it's not all for naught, as I KNOW there are peeps out there who've achieved what it is I'm looking for.

Also planning on some ownhammers and the like.

Guys... :aww:

What happened to the Midol recommendation yesterday Gents?? Let's keep it fun, no??

Anyway - have a great day Folks,
Mo

Is this Jay Mitchell dude a real representative for Atomic or even seriously affiliated with them? I don't know anybody here or even know what everyone is arguing about... but Jay needs to just keep his mouth shut... the stupid comebacks are ridiculous on everyone's behalf... but for someone involved with a company to get sucked into the online garbage just looks bad...

My 2 cents... sorry for ANOTHER derailment...
